Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Alien Gorilla
Alien Gorilla contains three lines with a history of their own. According to the breeder, Gorilla Glue #4 has achieved legendary status, and Zkittlez is a fruity creation from the US West Coast – from the two, Original Sensible Seeds bred Zkittzy Gorilla. The third building block is Alien Technology, which according to the manufacturer goes back to a handful of landrace seeds that a US soldier brought back from Afghanistan. The cross results in a hybrid with 65% Indica and 35% Sativa and a THC content of 25%; the manufacturer does not state a CBD value. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the light cycle is switched. From the same breeder, you will also find Gorilla Zkittlez Fast and the autoflowering Auto Gorilla Glue #4 in our range.
Who Is Alien Gorilla For?
Alien Gorilla is a vigorous hybrid that demands space and respect for its potency. It suits:
- Fans of Gorilla Glue and Zkittlez genetics looking for both lines in one strain
- Indoor growers with room for plants 100 to 160 cm tall
- Outdoor gardeners in warm, sunny locations
- Lovers of woody-sweet incense aromas with citrus
- Consumers with tolerance who want to relax physically
It is less suitable for very low grow rooms or for consumers who prefer mild strains. You can find more high-yielding strains with a similar flowering time under High Yield & Short Flowering.
Growing Alien Gorilla: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
After the switch to 12/12, Alien Gorilla flowers for 60 to 65 days; Original Sensible Seeds speaks of about 65 days to fully ripened flowers. Indoors the plants reach 100 to 160 cm, and according to the manufacturer the yield to be expected is around 600 g/m². At this height it makes sense not to choose too long a vegetative phase and to guide the shoots outwards with topping or a net. Heavy, resinous flowers need good air movement in the final weeks and supports if necessary. The strong aroma calls for a carbon filter. You will find the basics on training and climate in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to the manufacturer, Alien Gorilla grows 120 to 180 cm tall and produces 700 g per plant. Original Sensible Seeds describes the strain for warm, sunny locations; the breeder does not state a harvest month. As a photoperiod strain, it only ripens in autumn – a sheltered spot with a final phase that is as dry as possible is therefore important. Judge ripeness by the trichomes. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Terpenes of Alien Gorilla
Original Sensible Seeds calls the flavour profile classic: sweet, woody incense with citrus notes, plus sweet fruit and an earthy spice. The breeder cites myrcene as the dominant terpene, accompanied by caryophyllene, pinene and limonene; it does not state measured values. The manufacturer describes the effect as balanced and Indica-leaning: first it calmly lifts the mood, then a physical, relaxing high predominates. At 25% THC – the breeder speaks of extreme THC – Alien Gorilla is very potent and more something for consumers with tolerance. Start with a small amount: how intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
