Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Amnesia
According to the strain description, Amnesia is one of the best-known and most popular Sativa strains worldwide. The Vision Seeds version is based on Amnesia Haze and brings 80% Sativa and 20% Indica; the breeder does not state a more precise cross. The THC content is given as 20 to 22%, the CBD content as medium, without a percentage. Visually, the strain shows dense, light to dark green flowers with deeply hidden orange hairs and a thick layer of glittering trichomes. Vision Seeds emphasises the classic Haze character, though without the rough “overdrive” that some Haze genetics bring with them. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the light cycle is switched. For comparison with another breeder's line, you will also find Amnesia Haze by Nirvana in our range.
Who Is Amnesia For?
Amnesia is a Haze that, according to the breeder, has a clear and sociable effect and is described as a pick-me-up. It suits:
- Fans of classic Haze strains with a floral, spicy aroma
- Indoor growers who plan for around 9 weeks of flowering
- Growers with sufficient room height, because the plants can reach up to 200 cm
- Outdoor and greenhouse gardeners in mild climates
- Consumers looking for a clear, sociable and creative effect
It is less suitable for anyone looking for a physically heavy, calming strain for the evening. You can find more strains with a powerful effect under Super High THC Content.
Growing Amnesia: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, according to Vision Seeds, Amnesia flowers for about 9 weeks and yields 450 to 600 g/m². The height is given as 80 to 200 cm – a wide range; in practice, how tall the plant grows depends heavily on the length of the vegetative phase and on training. If you have little room height, induce flowering early and keep the plants flat by tying them down or with a net. The breeder gives no specific training recommendations. The compact, resinous flowers benefit from good air movement in the final weeks, and an activated carbon filter keeps the Haze smell in the tent. You will find the basics on training and climate in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to the strain description, Amnesia is harvested in October; Vision Seeds does not state a more precise time. The yield is given as high, without a figure per plant, and the breeder calls a mild climate ideal. According to Vision Seeds, the strain is also suitable for the greenhouse – the safer choice in regions with a damp autumn. Information on height outdoors is missing. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Amnesia
In the jar, according to Vision Seeds, Amnesia smells rather restrained; only when it is consumed does the aroma unfold as a floral, spicy Haze cloud. The breeder describes the flavour as floral, spicy and typically Haze. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. Vision Seeds gives the effect as clear, euphoric, creative and sociable – a pick-me-up that stimulates the mind and, according to the strain description, sets in about 10 to 15 minutes after consumption. It is said to be gentler than with many another Haze. At 20 to 22% THC, the strain is nevertheless strong. So wait for the delayed onset before you take more; how intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
