Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Amsterdam Amnesia
Dutch Passion calls Amsterdam Amnesia a timeless classic without which its own collection of feminised seeds would not be complete. According to the breeder, the strain descends from the original Amnesia genetics and shows the best traits of the Haze family; an exact parent cross is not stated. It is listed as a Sativa-dominant, THC-rich strain – a percentage ratio of Sativa to Indica is not available, nor is a CBD value. According to Dutch Passion, the high-yielding Dutch line with its very favourable ratio of flowers to leaves has established itself worldwide within a few years and is one of the most popular strains among commercial growers in the Netherlands and abroad. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod. For comparison, you will also find Amnesia Haze by Nirvana in our range.
Who Is Amsterdam Amnesia For?
Amsterdam Amnesia is a high-yielding strain for Haze fans with headroom. It suits:
- Lovers of classic Amnesia Haze genetics
- Yield-focused growers who plan for 9 to 10 weeks of flowering
- Indoor gardeners with sufficient room height for the stretch
- Fans of citrus aromas and dense Sativa flowers
- Consumers looking for a stimulating, head-focused daytime strain
It is less suitable for low grow rooms because, according to the manufacturer, it stretches considerably in flowering. You can find more THC-strong strains under Super High THC Content.
Growing Amsterdam Amnesia: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, according to Dutch Passion, Amsterdam Amnesia flowers in around 9 to 10 weeks. The manufacturer expressly points out that the plants can stretch strongly after flowering is initiated – so make sure that the height of your grow room is sufficient, and do not send them into flower too tall. The thin Sativa leaves let more light penetrate into the lower layers, and according to the manufacturer the strain shows strong resistance to spider mites. Dutch Passion rates the yield as XXL; 500 to 600 g/m² is stated. A height in centimetres is not stated. You can find more on training and height control in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
No separate figures are available for open ground: neither a harvest date nor a height or a yield per plant is stated. The flowering time of 9 to 10 weeks remains as a guide – a Sativa-dominant strain with this flowering duration needs a long, warm autumn outdoors or the protection of a greenhouse. Also expect strong vertical growth. You can find more strains for outdoors under feminised outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Amsterdam Amnesia
Dutch Passion describes dense flowers with citrus notes that turn out more compact than with most other Sativa strains. A terpene profile with individual terpenes is not available. Dutch Passion speaks of stunning potency and a very high THC content; around 19 to 20% is stated. The effect is described as euphoric, creative and stimulating – so more something for the daytime than for late evening. If you have little experience with strong Sativas, start with a small amount. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
