Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Auto Amnesia Haze
Amnesia Haze is one of the best-known Haze strains of the Dutch coffeeshops. For the autoflowering version, Nirvana crossed Amnesia Haze with a Ruderalis. The Ruderalis genetics ensure that the plant goes into flower independently of the light cycle and finishes considerably faster than a photoperiod Haze. The Sativa character is retained in the process: Auto Amnesia Haze grows medium-sized and compact, forms thin fan leaves and thin, woody branches and ends up carrying heavy flowers. Nirvana gives the THC content as 16 to 20%. The seeds are feminised. According to the manufacturer, the strain thrives best in hot climates. If you prefer the photoperiod original strain with a longer flowering time, you will find Amnesia Haze by Nirvana in our range.
Who Is Auto Amnesia Haze For?
Auto Amnesia Haze brings Haze character into a short cycle. It suits:
- Growers with intermediate to extensive experience
- Haze fans who do not want to wait for a long photoperiod flowering time
- Indoor growers who grow in a Sea of Green
- Outdoor gardeners in warm, sunny locations
- Consumers looking for a stimulating daytime strain
According to the manufacturer, the strain is less suitable for a very first grow, and if you want to wind down in the evening, an Indica is the better choice. You can find more autoflowering Sativas under autoflowering Sativa strains.
Growing Auto Amnesia Haze: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, Auto Amnesia Haze needs 10 to 13 weeks from seed to harvest, depending on which manufacturer figure you go by; the light cycle does not need to be switched. The plants stay medium-sized and compact. Nirvana recommends growing in a Sea of Green and states 300 to 400 g/m² for it. Because the thin, woody branches carry heavy flowers, the plants should be supported with stakes in good time. The strain demands a little more attention than typical beginner autoflowers: consistent conditions and plenty of light pay off, as mistakes can hardly be made up for in the short cycle. You will find the basics on climate and feeding in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to the manufacturer, Auto Amnesia Haze delivers the best results in hot climates. So choose a sheltered spot in full sun and plan sowing so that the entire cycle falls in the warmest months. The heavy flowers need support outside too. Nirvana does not state an outdoor yield per plant. You can find more strains for open ground under automatic seeds outdoor. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Auto Amnesia Haze
The aroma of Auto Amnesia Haze is a sharp citrus scent reminiscent of lemon, orange and mandarin. For the flavour, Nirvana cites tropical, earthy and citrus notes with orange. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. It describes the effect as uplifting, euphoric and long-lasting, combined with feelings of happiness and concentration – a strain for the daytime. At the same time, Nirvana points out that, true to its name, the strain can impair short-term memory. At 16 to 20% THC it is medium-strength to strong; how intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
