Genetics & Origin of Auto Big Devil
Auto Big Devil (SWS15) is Sweet Seeds' answer to many customers' wish for taller-growing automatics: the breeder deliberately chose a selection that can reach 1 to 1.5 metres. Sweet Seeds does not name the parent strains, but it does give the genotype: 40% Indica, 47.5% Sativa and 12.5% Ruderalis. The strain is 100% autoflowering, and the seeds are feminised. The manufacturer gives the THC content as 15 to 20% and the CBD content as 0.8 to 1.2%. In 2014, according to the breeder, the strain received first prize as “Auto of the Year” (Soft Secrets, High Life Cup). Under a related name, Sweet Seeds lists further, independent strains – in our range, for example, Auto Big Devil XL and Big Devil Fast Version.
Who Is Auto Big Devil For?
Auto Big Devil is an autoflower that deliberately does not stay small. It suits:
- Growers looking for a tall-growing autoflower
- Indoor growers with headroom for 100 to 150 cm
- Outdoor gardeners who want to harvest 9 weeks after germination
- Lovers of incense, fruit and Skunk aromas
- Collectors of award-winning strains
It is less suitable for low cabinets or for growing as inconspicuously as possible, because height is the breeding goal here. You can find more strains under best autoflowering seeds.
Growing Auto Big Devil: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Sweet Seeds states that Auto Big Devil is harvested 9 weeks after germination. This is the entire life cycle; the manufacturer does not state a separate flowering time, and the light cycle does not need to be switched. The plants reach 100 to 150 cm – so plan the room height and the lamp distance generously. The breeder puts the indoor yield at 400 to 550 g/m² and describes the buds as compact and resinous. With compact flowers, good air movement in the final weeks makes sense. You will find the basics on light and climate in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, too, the manufacturer states 9 weeks from germination to harvest; the harvest month therefore depends on the sowing date. According to Sweet Seeds, the yield is 40 to 250 g per plant and the height 100 to 150 cm – the breeder does not distinguish between indoors and outdoors here. A spot in full sun, sheltered from the wind, is the best starting point. You can find more strains under automatic seeds outdoor. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Auto Big Devil
Sweet Seeds describes the flavour as a blend of incense and fruit with a Skunk note; for the aroma, the breeder names the same three directions – fruity, incense, Skunk. It describes the flowers themselves as compact and resinous. The manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile. On the effect, Sweet Seeds gives two keywords: creativity-enhancing and psychoactive. The breeder does not provide a more detailed description, and we do not add one of our own. According to the manufacturer, the THC content is 15 to 20% and the CBD content 0.8 to 1.2%. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
