Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Auto Deimos
Auto Deimos – simply Deimos at the breeder – is an Indica-dominant hybrid from Buddha Seeds. The breeder names Northern Lights as the foundation; it does not state any further crossing partners. Careful selection was carried out over seven generations in order to unite the classic traits of this line in an autoflowering plant. According to the manufacturer, the Indica share is over 70%. Buddha Seeds describes the THC content only as high and the CBD content as low to medium – percentages are missing. The seeds are feminised and autoflowering, so the plants flower independently of the light cycle. The growth is striking: the plant grows upwards and outwards, and the side shoots carry flowers that become almost as thick as the main top. From the same breeder you will also find Auto Vesta and Auto Red Dwarf in our range.
Who Is Auto Deimos For?
Auto Deimos is a widely branched Indica autoflower with a classic character. It suits:
- Experienced growers who are already familiar with autoflowers
- Fans of Northern Lights genetics in autoflowering form
- Growers who prefer low, widely branched plants
- Outdoor gardeners in warm locations who are looking for low plants of 70 to 80 cm
- Consumers looking for a relaxing strain for quiet evenings
The strain is less suitable for a first grow: Buddha Seeds gives the difficulty level as medium and recommends it to experienced growers. You can find more autoflowering strains for outdoors under automatic seeds outdoor.
Growing Auto Deimos: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
For Auto Deimos, Buddha Seeds states a flowering time of around 7 to 8 weeks and a harvest time of about 70 days from germination. The plant grows approximately one metre tall and branches out over a wide area; the light cycle does not need to be switched. The breeder rates the indoor yield as medium to high and does not state a figure in g/m². Because the side shoots carry flowers almost as thick as the main top, each plant needs enough floor space and light from all sides; the dense flowers benefit from good air movement. The manufacturer gives the difficulty level as medium. You will find the basics on climate and feeding in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to the manufacturer, Auto Deimos stays low at 70 to 80 cm. The strain thrives in warm climate zones; so time your sowing so that the roughly 70 days to harvest fall in the warmest months. Buddha Seeds does not state a yield per plant. Thanks to its low height the plant stays inconspicuous, but because of its wide branching it needs distance from neighbouring plants. A sunny, sheltered spot is the best starting point. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Auto Deimos
Auto Deimos tastes sweet and penetrating, as is typical of classic Indicas according to Buddha Seeds. The breeder also describes the scent as sweet, with a deep, pungent aroma – an activated carbon filter therefore makes sense when growing indoors. The manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile. It portrays the effect as relaxing and introspective, fitting for a film night or other quiet moments; the high THC content, it says, provides a strong, calming feeling. Buddha Seeds gives no percentages for THC and CBD, so the strength cannot be put into figures. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
