Genetics & Origin of Auto Delicious Cookies
Auto Delicious Cookies is the autoflowering version of Delicious Cookies, which Delicious Seeds calls its latest big success. The genetics are predominantly Sativa and go back to four US lines: Wedding Cake, 707 Headband, Girl Scout Cookies and Death Star, supplemented with Ruderalis for automatic flowering. The breeder gives the genotype as 60% Sativa, 30% Indica and 10% Ruderalis and the THC content as 21%; it does not state a CBD value. According to Delicious Seeds, the aim was not simply to automate a strain that works – the auto is meant to retain the performance of the photoperiod line. The seeds are feminised. The high calyx-to-leaf ratio of the flowers is striking. From the same breeder, Delicious Cookies Early Version is also in our range.
Who Is Auto Delicious Cookies For?
Auto Delicious Cookies brings Cookies genetics into a short cycle. It suits:
- Growers who want to harvest in around 70 days without switching the light cycle
- Indoor gardeners who expect high yields even from an autoflower
- Outdoor growers looking for a discreet plant that finishes quickly
- Extraction fans, as the breeder states a BHO yield of 21%
- Lovers of unusual aromas of Earl Grey tea and cookies
It is less suitable for anyone who needs to grow with little odour: the manufacturer rates the smell as high. You can find more autoflowering strains under autoflowering seeds.
Growing Auto Delicious Cookies: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
As an autoflower, Auto Delicious Cookies flowers independently of the light cycle. Delicious Seeds gives the life cycle as 70 days – this means the time from sowing to harvest, not the flowering time alone. Indoors, the breeder states 500 to 550 g/m²; the strain description gives no height. According to the manufacturer, the high calyx-to-leaf ratio makes harvesting and manicuring particularly easy. Delicious Seeds rates the resistance to mould and pests as high, as well as the tolerance to watering. Because the smell is stated as high, an activated carbon filter makes sense. As autoflowers have little time to make up for growth stalls, a consistent climate from the start pays off. You will find the basics in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, Delicious Seeds states 150 to 160 g per plant. The breeder gives the life cycle generally as 70 days, so sowing can be timed for the warm, bright months. It also highlights the discretion of the automatic; it gives no information on height or harvest month. The high resistance to mould and pests is a plus in open ground. You can find more strains for outdoors under automatic seeds outdoor. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Auto Delicious Cookies
Delicious Seeds describes aromas of Earl Grey tea, cookies and earthy nuances that are meant to combine in the mouth into a veritable flavour explosion. The breeder rates the smell as high. According to the manufacturer, the high calyx-to-leaf ratio also explains the large quantity of terpenes the strain concentrates; however, it does not name individual terpenes or a lab terpene profile. On the effect, the strain description offers only one keyword: euphoric. The breeder leaves open whether it tends to be stimulating or relaxing, and we add nothing on this. According to Delicious Seeds, the THC content is 21%, which makes the strain strong. How intensely you experience the effect depends on dose and personal tolerance – so start with small amounts.
