Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Auto Diablo’s Delight XL
Auto Diablo’s Delight XL is a tall-growing autoflower that Sweet Seeds assigns to its fourth generation of autoflowering strains. Watermelon OG was crossed with Diablo Rojo XL Auto, which in turn emerged from Dark Devil Auto × Strawberry Cola Auto. The breeder gives the ratio as 53.4% Indica, 45% Sativa and 1.6% Ruderalis, the THC content as 18 to 24% and the CBD content as around 0.2%. The seeds are feminised and autoflowering: the plants go into flower independently of the light cycle. Sweet Seeds describes the parent Diablo Rojo XL Auto as richly coloured; Auto Diablo’s Delight XL itself, according to the manufacturer, often shows reddish-purple colour accents on resinous, dense flowers. Another XL autoflower from the same breeder is Auto Pineapple Slush XL.
Who Is Auto Diablo’s Delight XL For?
Auto Diablo’s Delight XL combines a short cycle with striking looks. It suits:
- Growers who would like to get from seed to harvest in around 8 weeks
- Lovers of tropical-sweet aromas with a watermelon note
- Growers who appreciate colourful, resinous flowers
- Extract makers who process dense, resinous flowers
- Consumers looking for a cheerful, creative and at the same time relaxing effect
It is less suitable for very low grow rooms, because the XL line can grow up to 130 cm tall. The packs contain additional seeds – more on this under Bonus Seeds.
Growing Auto Diablo’s Delight XL: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
As an autoflower, Auto Diablo’s Delight XL does not need the light cycle to be switched. Sweet Seeds states a life cycle of around 8 weeks from seed to harvest; the breeder does not give a separate flowering time. The plants grow tall with short internodes, form a strong central bud and vigorously branched side shoots and reach 60 to 130 cm – the manufacturer does not distinguish here between indoors and outdoors. For indoor growing it states 450 to 550 g/m². Because little time remains for recovery in such a short cycle, a sufficiently large final pot from the start is worthwhile. The dense, resinous flowers benefit from good air movement. You will find the basics in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, Sweet Seeds states 50 to 175 g per plant. As the entire cycle takes only around 8 weeks, sowing can easily be timed for the warmest and brightest weeks of the year. A sunny spot sheltered from the wind supports flower formation. You can find more autoflowering strains for outdoors under automatic seeds outdoor. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Auto Diablo’s Delight XL
Sweet Seeds describes an exotic aroma profile: watermelon and ripe fruit in the main notes, sweet and tropical, plus undertones of citrus and earth and a long-lasting aftertaste. The manufacturer does not name individual terpenes or a lab terpene profile. The effect is described as cheerful and euphoric and therefore as fitting for sociable moments; added to this are pleasant physical relaxation with appetite stimulation and a creative, contemplative streak. Overall, the breeder speaks of a psychoactive, balanced effect that also suits relaxed evenings. According to Sweet Seeds, the THC content is 18 to 24% and the CBD content around 0.2%. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
