Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Auto Dos Si Dos
Auto Dos Si Dos belongs to the Autoflower Cali Collection from Barney's Farm. It is based on Dos Si Dos, whose parents the breeder gives as Face Off OG × Girl Scout Cookies; for the autoflowering version it was crossed with the in-house BF Super Auto #1. According to the manufacturer, this step brought more yield, power and trichome production. The ratio is 65% Indica and 35% Sativa, so the strain is Indica-dominant. Barney's Farm puts the THC content at over 20%; the breeder does not state a CBD value. The seeds are feminised and autoflowering, so flowering sets in without the light cycle being switched. United Seedbanks also carries Girl Scout Cookies by Barney's Farm as a strain in its own right; in addition, Dos Si Dos 33 is a similarly named strain from the same breeder.
Who Is Auto Dos Si Dos For?
Auto Dos Si Dos is aimed at everyone who likes things fast and aromatic. It suits:
- Growers who want to get from sowing to harvest in 70 to 75 days
- Indoor gardeners with room for plants of around one metre
- Balcony and garden growers who prefer plants up to 140 cm
- Fans of Cookies and OG genetics with a citrus note
- Consumers who appreciate a strong effect
If you want to take cuttings or keep a mother plant, you are better served by a photoperiod strain – with automatics this is not sensibly possible. You can find more strains under Best Autoflowering Seeds.
Growing Auto Dos Si Dos: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Auto Dos Si Dos flowers independently of the light cycle. Barney's Farm gives 70 to 75 days from sowing to harvest – that is the entire life cycle; the breeder does not state a separate flowering time. Indoors the plant grows about 100 cm tall and, according to the manufacturer, yields up to 600 g/m². Barney's Farm gives no training advice. With such a short cycle, it pays to place the seedlings directly in the final pot and avoid stress. A carbon filter keeps the smell of the resinous flowers in check. You can find more on this in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to Barney's Farm, Auto Dos Si Dos reaches up to 140 cm. The cycle of 70 to 75 days from sowing applies outside too, so the grow can easily be timed for the warmest weeks of the year. The manufacturer does not state a yield per plant for open ground. A sheltered spot in full sun and a loose substrate give the plant good conditions. You can find more strains for outdoors under automatic seeds outdoor. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Auto Dos Si Dos
When it comes to flavour, citrus takes centre stage: Barney's Farm describes a lingering lime flavour that is said to remind some people of freshly baked lemon meringue pie; the data sheet lists lemon fruit and sweetness. The manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile. On the effect the breeder is brief: the data sheet states an active, strong stone, while elsewhere the breeder says in flowery words that the strain makes the day more pleasant. More precise details on the progression or duration are missing. According to Barney's Farm, the THC content is over 20%; the breeder does not state a more precise value or a CBD content. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance; if you rarely consume, it is best to start with a small amount.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
