Genetics & Origin of Auto French Cookies
Auto French Cookies is the autoflowering version of French Cookies by T.H. Seeds. In its own words, the breeder developed it by popular demand and crossed French Cookies with an Auto Ruderalis to do so. According to T.H. Seeds, the result is very close to the feminised original strain: the cookie smell and the effect are retained, which the manufacturer highlights as remarkable for an autoflower. The strain is listed as mostly Indica; the breeder does not give percentages, nor values for THC and CBD. The seeds are feminised and autoflowering, so they flower independently of the light cycle. If you have more time and prefer the photoperiod original, you will also find French Cookies by the same breeder in our range.
Who Is Auto French Cookies For?
Auto French Cookies is intended for everyone who wants Cookies aroma without a long wait. It suits:
- Cookies lovers who do not want to switch a light cycle
- Growers who want to get from seed to harvest in 9 to 10 weeks
- Indoor growers with room for plants 100 to 125 cm tall
- Fans of gassy-sweet Kush and OG aromas
- Consumers looking for a creative and at the same time relaxed effect
It is less suitable if you need a quantified THC content or want to keep a mother plant for cuttings. You can find more Indica-leaning autoflowers under autoflowering Indica strains.
Growing Auto French Cookies: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
According to T.H. Seeds, Auto French Cookies is ready for harvest 9 to 10 weeks after germination. This means the entire cycle from seed to harvest; the breeder does not state a separate flowering time. The light cycle does not need to be switched – for indoor growing, the manufacturer recommends 20 hours of light and 4 hours of darkness. The plants grow 100 to 125 cm tall and, according to the manufacturer, yield 350 to 450 g/m². Because the short cycle leaves hardly any time to make up for stalls in growth, it is best to put the seedlings straight into the final pot and to do without heavy pruning. The dense flowers need good air movement. You will find the basics in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, Auto French Cookies flowers regardless of day length. Time your sowing so that the 9 to 10 weeks fall in the warmest and brightest months. T.H. Seeds does not state a separate height for outside, a yield per plant or a harvest month. A sunny spot sheltered from the wind is the safe choice. More strains for open ground are listed under automatic seeds outdoor. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Auto French Cookies
For the flavour, T.H. Seeds gives four keywords: gassy, kushy, OG and sweet. Added to this is the cookie smell which, according to the breeder, the auto version retains from French Cookies. The manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile. It sums up the effect in four terms: creative, focused, happy and relaxed. In its words, the effect of French Cookies is thus retained in the auto version. T.H. Seeds does not give a THC value for Auto French Cookies; we therefore do not add an estimate. Start with a small amount if you do not yet know the strain. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
