Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Auto Frosted Guava
Auto Frosted Guava is the autoflowering version of Frosted Guava, which Original Sensible Seeds calls an Indica sensation from its own catalogue. The breeder gives the cross as Guava × Frosted Skywalker × XL Auto. It lists the strain as mostly Indica; it does not state percentages for the shares, nor a CBD value. It puts the THC content at 25%. As with the photoperiod sister, the plants are, according to the manufacturer, laden with dense flowers covered in a glittering layer of resin. The seeds are feminised and flower independently of the light cycle; there is no need to switch the lighting. Other autoflowers from the same breeder include Auto Apple Fritter and Auto Zoapaya.
Who Is Auto Frosted Guava For?
Auto Frosted Guava is a resinous autoflower with a clear Indica character. It suits:
- Growers who want to harvest without switching the light cycle
- Indoor growers who plan with a plant height of 70 to 120 cm
- Outdoor gardeners looking for a plant of manageable height
- Lovers of dense flowers heavily covered in resin
- Consumers who prefer a heavy, body-focused effect for the evening
If you want to stay active during the day, this strain is less well suited – the manufacturer describes an effect that glues you to the couch. You can find more stimulating alternatives under autoflowering Sativa strains.
Growing Auto Frosted Guava: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Original Sensible Seeds states 10 weeks from sowing to harvest. In addition, the data sheet lists a figure of 65 to 70 days, which is described there as the flowering time, while elsewhere it is 60 to 70 days; the manufacturer leaves open how these days fit into the overall cycle. So plan in some buffer and judge ripeness by the trichomes. The breeder gives the height as 70 to 120 cm and the yield as 650 g/m². The dense flowers need good air movement and controlled humidity in the final weeks. You will find the basics on light and climate in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, too, the manufacturer lists a height of 70 to 120 cm. Under optimal conditions, it promises no less than 150 g per plant. The data sheet gives October as the harvest month; with an autoflower, however, the date depends primarily on when you sow. According to Original Sensible Seeds, the strain is suitable for cool, temperate and hot climates. A sunny, sheltered spot helps you make the most of the plant's short life. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Terpenes of Auto Frosted Guava
Original Sensible Seeds gives no further details on the aroma; it is described as sweet with notes of tropical fruit. In the terpene profile, the manufacturer lists caryophyllene as the dominant terpene, along with limonene and pinene. It is clearer about the effect: you can expect a strong physical and dreamy relaxation, powerful enough to glue you to the couch. This makes Auto Frosted Guava more of a strain for the evening than for active hours. The breeder gives the THC content as 25% and does not state a CBD value. With this potency, it pays to start low: how intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
