Genetics & Origin of Auto Jack 47
For Auto Jack 47, Sweet Seeds crossed an autoflowering Jack Herer with its in-house elite clone of AK 47. The breeder lists the strain under the code SWS31 as a third-generation autoflower. The genetics are clearly Sativa-leaning: 76.9% Sativa compared with 20% Indica and 3.1% Ruderalis. Sweet Seeds gives the THC content as 18 to 21% and the CBD content as 1.1%. The manufacturer itself calls it one of the strongest autoflowering strains of all and describes plenty of compact, very resinous flowers. The seeds are feminised; as an autoflower, the plant flowers independently of the light cycle. The photoperiod sister from the same house is Jack 47 – it only flowers after the switch to 12/12.
Who Is Auto Jack 47 For?
We list Auto Jack 47 as a strain for experienced growers. It suits:
- Experienced growers looking for a Sativa-leaning autoflower
- Haze fans who do not want to wait for a long photoperiod flowering time
- Yield-focused indoor growers with a short cycle
- Outdoor gardeners looking for a robust, weather-resistant plant for the summer
- Experienced consumers who appreciate a strong, cerebral effect
It is less suitable if you are looking for a mild or physically calming strain. You can find more autoflowers for outdoors under automatic seeds outdoor.
Growing Auto Jack 47: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Sweet Seeds gives the entire cycle as about nine weeks from germination. That is the time from seed to harvest; the breeder does not state a separate flowering time. The plants grow 50 to 120 cm tall and, according to the manufacturer, yield 450 to 600 g/m². The light cycle stays the same throughout the entire run. With only nine weeks, every day counts: transplant shock or hard pruning can hardly be made up for, so it is advisable to start directly in the final pot and at most tie down gently. The compact, resinous flowers benefit from good air movement towards the end, and the spicy Haze smell calls for a carbon filter. More on this in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, Sweet Seeds states 50 to 200 g per plant, likewise with around nine weeks from germination. The manufacturer describes the strain as robust and weather-resistant and recommends it for summer grows. A separate outdoor height is not given; the general range of 50 to 120 cm applies. A spot in full sun and a sufficiently large pot help to reach the upper end of the yield range. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Auto Jack 47
According to Sweet Seeds, the scent of Auto Jack 47 is sweet and lemony with a Haze note and a hint of incense; the breeder describes the flavour as fresh, spicy and slightly sweet. It speaks of an intense terpene profile but does not name any individual terpenes – the manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. Sweet Seeds describes the effect as strong, long-lasting and cerebral and expressly recommends the strain to experienced consumers. With 18 to 21% THC and 1.1% CBD, it is in the strong range. Dose cautiously if you are not used to Sativa-leaning strains. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
