Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Auto Night Queen
Auto Night Queen goes back to Afghani Night Queen, a very resinous strain from the Dutch Passion catalogue. For the autoflower, the breeder crossed a specially selected clone of the original photoperiod Night Queen with a dark, autoflowering Afghan Mazar-i-Sharif cross from its own gene bank. The result is a feminised autoflower with more than 70% Indica. Dutch Passion counts the Night Queen genetics among the strongest Indicas of the house; the strain description cites more than 20% THC for them and a first prize at the Champions Cup 2015 in Málaga. The breeder calls Auto Night Queen itself one of the strongest autoflowers the team has ever seen; for this one it cites first prize in the autoflower category at the Highlife Cup Netherlands 2016. The manufacturer does not give a CBD value. You can find more potent autoflowers under autoflowering seeds with high THC content.
Who Is Auto Night Queen For?
Auto Night Queen is an autoflower for everyone to whom strength and resin matter more than a mild profile. It suits:
- Home growers who, according to the manufacturer, are looking for maximum strength
- Indica lovers with a liking for Afghan and Kush character
- Growers who want to get from seed to harvest in around 10 weeks
- Outdoor gardeners who grow without light control
- Consumers who appreciate a strongly calming effect in the evening
It is less suitable if you are looking for a clear, stimulating strain for the daytime – Sativa-leaning genetics are the better choice for that. You can find the full selection of autoflowering strains under autoflowering seeds.
Growing Auto Night Queen: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Dutch Passion gives the lifespan of Auto Night Queen as about 10 weeks – that is the time from seed to harvest, not the pure flowering time, which the manufacturer does not state separately. As an autoflower it flowers independently of the light cycle, so there is no switch to 12/12. Indoors, according to the breeder, it can yield up to 500 g/m²; it describes the harvests as strong, sticky and far above average in both quality and quantity. The strain description contains no figures on plant height and no advice on training techniques. As a matter of general experience, the rich hashish scent makes a carbon filter sensible, and resinous flowers benefit from good air movement. You will find the basics in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to Dutch Passion, 150 g per plant is not unusual under good conditions. Because the strain flowers by itself, the roughly ten-week cycle can be placed in the warmest months; a sunny, sheltered spot is the best starting point. The manufacturer gives no information on height outdoors. You can find more strains for outdoors under automatic seeds outdoor. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Auto Night Queen
Dutch Passion describes the flavour of Auto Night Queen as rich, luscious and sweet. Added to this is the heavy hashish scent that the breeder attributes to this Afghan Kush and which, in its words, fills the air. The flowers are said to impress both when smoked and when vaporised. The manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile. It gives the effect as strongly calming on mind and body, and also as long-lasting. Dutch Passion calls it one of the strongest autoflowers the team has ever seen and states more than 20% THC for the Night Queen genetics; the breeder does not state an upper limit or a CBD value. This makes it more of a strain for the evening than for the daytime. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
