Auto Skunk Nr. 1 3 seeds

Genetics & Origin of Auto Skunk Nr. 1

According to Sensi Seeds, Skunk #1 is one of the most important cannabis strains of all: it was one of the first stabilised Indica-Sativa hybrids, its history goes back at least 30 years, and its numerous offspring have shaped cannabis culture worldwide. By its own account, the breeder has offered its Skunk #1 for most of these three decades. The feminised variant was followed, as the most recent development, by the feminised Skunk #1 Automatic, which is listed here as Auto Skunk Nr. 1. It flowers at a predetermined point, regardless of day length. Sensi Seeds gives the ratio as 65% Indica and 35% Sativa; the manufacturer does not say which autoflowering genetics were crossed in, nor does it give THC or CBD values. You will find the photoperiod original strain from the same breeder in our range as Skunk Nr. 1.

Who Is Auto Skunk Nr. 1 For?

Auto Skunk Nr. 1 brings classic Skunk genetics into a short, light-independent cycle. It suits:

• Fans of Skunk #1 who do not want to wait for a photoperiod flowering
• Growers with little space who prefer compact plants
• Outdoor gardeners who want to time flowering for the sunniest weeks
• Growers who want to work without switching the light cycle
• Consumers who appreciate the sweetish, pungent Skunk flavour

If you expect the highest possible yields, you are better served by another strain, as Sensi Seeds only states the yield as medium. You can find more autoflowers for outdoors under automatic seeds outdoor.

Growing Auto Skunk Nr. 1: Indoor & Outdoor

Indoor Growing

Under artificial light, Auto Skunk Nr. 1 develops excellently, according to Sensi Seeds. Even with long days, flowering normally begins less than a month after the seedlings have emerged from the soil; the flowering phase itself lasts 45 to 55 days. That is the flowering time, not the entire life cycle – the manufacturer does not give a total duration from germination to harvest. Once flowering, plants do not return to vegetative growth. Growth is compact, and the yield is stated as medium; figures in g/m² or centimetres are not given. You do not need to switch the light cycle. For the typical Skunk smell, an activated carbon filter makes sense. You will find the basics in the Growpedia.

Outdoor Growing

Outdoors, according to the manufacturer, the strain thrives in spring and summer in most locations below about 45° north latitude; the data sheet gives the climate as temperate to continental. In shorter or cooler summers, Sensi Seeds advises timing germination so that the flowering phase falls in the sunniest days of June or July rather than the cooler September. The breeder does not state a yield per plant or a growth height. Only grow where it is legal to do so.

Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Auto Skunk Nr. 1

Sensi Seeds describes the ripe flowers of Auto Skunk Nr. 1 as large and dense, covered in THC-rich resin glands and thus on a par with its ancestors. According to the manufacturer, the flavour is sweetish and pungent – a profile that most cannabis lovers will be familiar with from Skunk. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. The breeder describes the effect as a very powerful combination of stone and high, i.e. of a physical and a mental component. Sensi Seeds does not give a THC value as a percentage, so we do not state a figure. How strongly you feel the effect depends on dose and individual tolerance; with a strain the manufacturer describes as very powerful, approach it with small amounts.

Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
