Genetics & Origin of Auto Think Big
Auto Think Big builds on a strain that Dutch Passion itself calls legendary: Think Different. From hundreds of plants grown from seed, the breeder selected a small number of particularly large, high-yielding specimens and used them as the basis of the new line. The result is an autoflower with more than 70% Sativa, average height and stocky growth that takes two to three weeks longer than most autoflowers. According to Dutch Passion, this time pays off in yield; the breeder describes the resin coverage as often sensational. The breeder rates the THC content as high but does not state a percentage; a CBD value is also missing. The seeds are feminised. The original strain Auto Think Different is also in our range.
Who Is Auto Think Big For?
Auto Think Big is an autoflower for everyone who puts yield before speed. It suits:
- Growers who accept a longer cycle in return for more yield
- Sativa fans looking for a stimulating, uplifting high
- Indoor growers with limited room height, as the plants mostly stay under one metre
- Balcony and garden growers who want to grow without switching the light
- Lovers of citrus and incense aromas
If you want to harvest as quickly as possible, you are better served by a shorter autoflower. You can find more autoflowering strains for outdoors under automatic seeds outdoor.
Growing Auto Think Big: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
As an autoflower, Auto Think Big flowers independently of the light cycle. For the time from germination to harvest, Dutch Passion states 13 to 14 weeks, and elsewhere 11 to 13 weeks – it is better to plan for the longer span and decide by the ripeness of the trichomes. The breeder does not give a separate flowering time. According to the manufacturer, the plants almost always stay under one metre, with 50 to 75 cm being typical. As for yield, Dutch Passion considers around 500 to 600 g/m² achievable if the plants are well looked after. As autoflowers cope poorly with transplant stress, it is best to put them straight into their final pot. More on this in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to Dutch Passion, the strain needs one to at most two weeks longer to ripen. The breeder does not give a separate height for outdoors; in general it speaks of plants under one metre. Nor does it state a fixed yield per plant; without distinguishing between indoors and outdoors, it speaks of individual specimens that produce several hundred grams. Time your sowing so that the entire cycle falls in the sunniest months. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Auto Think Big
Dutch Passion describes the flavour of Auto Think Big as having a hint of citrus fruit, lemon and incense; elsewhere there is mention of fruity, sweet-floral notes and the peel of a ripe lemon. The breeder speaks of a diverse terpene profile, and by its account the flowers are often very heavily covered in resin. The manufacturer portrays the effect as strong and uplifting: a Sativa high that rises abruptly. Dutch Passion rates the THC content as high without putting a figure on it. If you consume rarely, you should therefore start low. How powerful the high is in an individual case depends on dose and personal tolerance.
