Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Auto White Widow
According to Dutch Passion, White Widow is one of the company's top sellers. Auto White Widow is its long-awaited automatic version: after several years of careful selection, it emerged from the original White Widow mother plant – with the same genetics which, according to the breeder, have won numerous prizes. Dutch Passion gives the type as Indica/Ruderalis; the breeder does not state exact proportions or a THC value, but it does speak of a strong variety with a strong high and counts it among the best automatics it has developed. The seeds are feminised and autoflowering, so the plants flower independently of the light cycle and are ripe about 75 days after germination. If you prefer the photoperiod original strain, you will also find White Widow by Dutch Passion in our range.
Who Is Auto White Widow For?
Auto White Widow brings a well-known name into a short cycle. It suits:
- Experienced growers who plan for a cycle of around 11 weeks
- White Widow fans looking for an autoflowering version
- Hydro growers who work with Deep Water Culture
- Gardeners with little headroom, for example on a balcony or terrace
- Consumers who appreciate a balanced high of head and body effect
It is less suitable for anyone who wants to take cuttings or control the vegetative phase themselves. The breeder calls growing it easy; we nevertheless list it as a strain for experienced growers. You can find more strains under autoflowering seeds.
Growing Auto White Widow: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
According to Dutch Passion, Auto White Widow is ripe about 75 days after germination; elsewhere the breeder states a lifetime of around 11 weeks. In each case this means the entire cycle from seedling to harvest – the breeder does not state a separate flowering time. The plants grow 60 cm to 1 m tall, grow bushy, carry numerous flowers and form dense, hard, frosty buds. The breeder describes the strain as very consistent and easy to grow with all cultivation methods; according to its information, experienced auto growers achieve particularly high yields in Deep Water Culture systems. It does not give a value in g/m². The plant already smells strongly during the vegetative phase, so a carbon filter is advisable. You can find more on cultivation methods in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to Dutch Passion, the strain yields 50 to 150 g and more per plant. As it flowers regardless of day length, the sowing date determines the harvest; the breeder does not state a harvest month. Place the cycle in the warmest, brightest weeks and choose a sunny, sheltered spot. You can find more open-ground automatics under automatic seeds outdoor. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Auto White Widow
Dutch Passion describes the flavour as fresh, of lemon and pine, and fairly sweet. The plant already develops a strong aroma during growth. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. According to its information, the effect sets in quickly. The high is said to be well balanced and pleasant: a strong cerebral effect combines with a relaxing physical component. Dutch Passion speaks of a powerful variety that produces a strong high but states neither a THC nor a CBD value – so we do not add a figure. If you are trying the strain for the first time, start with a small amount and wait for the effect. How intense it is depends on dose and personal tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
