Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Auto Zkittlez
According to the manufacturer, Zkittlez is one of the newer photoperiod genetics from the West Coast; Original Sensible Seeds has turned it into an autoflowering strain. As building blocks, the manufacturer lists Grandaddy Purple and Grapefruit as well as Auto Ghost OG – it does not give a crossing scheme with mother and father. According to the breeder, Auto Zkittlez is Indica-dominant; it does not give percentages. According to the manufacturer, the THC content is 20%; a CBD value is missing. Original Sensible Seeds describes the flowers as large, green with a hint of purple and rich in resin. The seeds are feminised and autoflowering, so the plants go into flower independently of the light cycle. According to the manufacturer, the tropical fruit flavour and the aroma of the photoperiod version are retained. The automatic building block is available individually as Auto Ghost OG from Original Sensible Seeds.
Who Is Auto Zkittlez For?
Auto Zkittlez brings a fruit aroma into a manageable cycle. It suits:
- Growers who want to harvest without switching the light cycle
- Indoor growers with room for plants 80 to 100 cm tall
- Aroma fans looking for tropical, sweet and sour fruit notes
- Lovers of large flowers with a purple sheen and plenty of resin
- Consumers who prefer a balanced effect on head and body
If you expect high yields per plant outdoors, at around 100 g this strain will serve you less well. You can find more autoflowering strains for outdoors under automatic seeds outdoor.
Growing Auto Zkittlez: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Original Sensible Seeds states that Auto Zkittlez needs 65 to 70 days from seed to harvest; in the data sheet, however, the same range appears under "flowering time". So plan in some buffer and, in the end, go by the ripeness of the trichomes. Switching the light cycle is not necessary. According to the manufacturer, the average indoor height is 80 to 100 cm and the expected yield 500 g/m². The strain forms large, resinous flowers; good air movement and a carbon filter therefore make sense. Because autoflowers grow according to a fixed internal schedule, an undisturbed start in the final pot pays off. You will find the basics on light, climate and feeding in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to Original Sensible Seeds, 100 g per plant can be expected. The manufacturer does not state an outdoor height, and an autoflowering strain has no fixed harvest month: the date depends on when you sow. Place it in the warm, bright months and choose a sunny, sheltered spot. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Auto Zkittlez
According to Original Sensible Seeds, Auto Zkittlez retains the tropical fruit flavour and the aroma of the photoperiod Zkittlez. The manufacturer speaks of a complex mix of sweet and sour notes. It does not name individual terpenes or a lab profile. The breeder describes the effect as balanced: a cerebral component on the one hand, a relaxing body stone on the other. This fits its classification as an Indica-dominant strain in which the head is not left out. The THC content is given as 20%, and Original Sensible Seeds calls the strain a good producer of THC-rich resin. If you have little tolerance, it is better to approach it slowly. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
