Baked Apple Cherries 6 seeds

Genetics & Origin of Baked Apple Cherries

Baked Apple Cherries combines two American dessert lines. According to Elev8 Seeds, the Cherry Pie side goes back to the original, compactly built Cherry Pie – a plant that is closely guarded and hard to come by. It owes its name to a smell of cherry pie with a hint of spice. As a partner, the breeder chose an Apple Fritter line, which it describes as vigorous, high-yielding and fast-flowering. Elev8 Seeds lists the result as an Indica hybrid; the breeder does not state a percentage ratio, while figures given for the strain are 60% Indica and 40% Sativa. The manufacturer does not put a figure on the THC value either; it merely speaks of highly potent plants. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod. Both parent strains are available in our range as stand-alone lines from another breeder: Apple Fritter and Cherry Pie by Royal Queen Seeds.

Who Is Baked Apple Cherries For?

Baked Apple Cherries is a yield-focused hybrid with a pronounced pastry aroma. It suits:

• Fans of Cherry Pie and Apple Fritter who are looking for both lines in one strain
• Growers for whom a high yield is important
• Indoor gardeners who plan with 8 to 9 weeks of flowering
• Outdoor growers with a sunny spot that lasts into October
• Lovers of sweet, earthy aromas with a powerful terpene profile

It is less suitable if you are looking for a mild strain or verified lab values – the breeder does not state a THC value. You can find more hybrids in this direction under Indica strains.

Growing Baked Apple Cherries: Indoor & Outdoor

Indoor Growing

Elev8 Seeds gives the flowering time as 8 to 9 weeks; flowering begins as soon as you switch the light cycle to 12/12. According to the breeder, the typical phenotype stays of average height; it gives no figure in centimetres. The manufacturer rates the yield as very high without putting a figure on it; figures given for the strain are up to 700 g/m². If you want to make full use of this range, you need powerful lighting and an evenly lit area. Because the breeder speaks of loud, i.e. very intense, terpenes, an activated carbon filter makes sense. Heavy flower clusters can be supported with a net. The basics on climate and training are in the Growpedia.

Outdoor Growing

Elev8 Seeds itself gives no information on growing outdoors. A harvest in early October is given for the strain, along with a yield of up to around 1,400 g per plant under ideal conditions – a figure that requires plenty of sun, ample root space and a long growth phase. So plan for a sunny spot sheltered from the wind and support the side branches in good time. No growth height is given for outdoors. Only grow where it is legal to do so.

Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Baked Apple Cherries

The breeder provides the most detail on the aroma. The Cherry Pie side stands for a scent of cherry pie with a subtle spicy note, while Elev8 Seeds describes the Apple Fritter line as sweet and earthy with a slight touch of cheesy apple pastry. Together this makes a profile reminiscent of a bakery; the manufacturer speaks of loud terpenes. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. Elev8 Seeds does not comment on the effect either; it is described as relaxing to sedating, combined with a cheerful mood. The breeder also gives no THC value and only speaks of highly potent plants – so approach it with caution. How strongly the strain acts in an individual case depends on dose and personal tolerance.

Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
