Genetics & Origin of Banana Cream OG
Behind Banana Cream OG is the cross Banana Cream × OG Kush, which Original Sensible Seeds classes as modern Cali genetics. The genotype is balanced at 50% Indica and 50% Sativa, and according to the manufacturer the THC content reaches up to 30%; it does not state a CBD value. Highlighted are the very high resin production, which makes the strain interesting for rosin, hash and other extracts, and a balanced hybrid growth with strong side branching. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod – so flowering only begins when the light cycle is switched. The breeder calls the strain attractive for beginners and experienced growers alike; in the shop it is rated as a strain for professionals because of the very high THC content, the very high yield and the late outdoor harvest. If you would like to grow an OG Kush as a strain in its own right, you will find, for example, OG Kush by White Label in our range.

Growing Banana Cream OG: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Original Sensible Seeds gives the flowering time as 65 to 70 days, the height as 100 to 140 cm and the yield as up to 800 g/m². Under LED lighting, according to the manufacturer, Banana Cream OG forms particularly compact, very resinous flowers. According to its information, the strong side branching and the stable structure make it excellently suited to training techniques; a net distributes the many shoots evenly under the light. Dense flowers and such high yields demand good air movement in the final weeks and a climate that you have under control – one of the reasons why we recommend the strain to experienced growers. The Growpedia offers background knowledge on climate and training.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, Banana Cream OG grows 150 to 200 cm tall and, according to the manufacturer, yields up to 950 g per plant. Harvest falls in mid to late October and thus late in the year. The breeder recommends sheltered, sunny locations and expressly names the greenhouse as an option too. Support the side shoots in good time so that they can carry the weight of the flowers. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Terpenes of Banana Cream OG
Original Sensible Seeds describes a complex dessert profile: ripe banana, creamy sweetness and tropical fruit, plus earthy Kush notes, subtle fuel and OG gas nuances and citrus peel. As the dominant terpenes, the manufacturer names myrcene, caryophyllene and limonene; it does not give measured values for them. After curing, the banana dessert aroma with earthy Kush and gentle OG gas comes through particularly clearly. The breeder classes the effect as a balanced hybrid effect: euphoric, mood-lifting, relaxing, physically calming and long-lasting. It is said to bring mental calm and physical relaxation without being strongly sedating. With up to 30% THC, Banana Cream OG is one of the very potent strains – start with small amounts, because the intensity depends on dose and tolerance.
