Genetics & Origin of Banana Sherbet
Banana Sherbet goes back to US genetics from which Original Sensible Seeds, by its own account, made a targeted selection. First, Sunset Sherbet was crossed with Banana, which the breeder lists with the addition Ghost OG; Kosher Kush was then added. The data sheet shows 70% Indica and 30% Sativa, even though Original Sensible Seeds at the same time describes the strain as a balanced hybrid. According to the breeder, the THC content reaches up to 28% – a value it expressly warns about. It does not state a CBD value. It gives limonene as the dominant terpene, alongside myrcene and caryophyllene. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod. The Kush side of the family tree is also available as a strain of its own in our range: Kosher Kush by DNA Genetics.

- Outdoor gardeners who would like to harvest from late September to early October

Growing Banana Sherbet: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Original Sensible Seeds gives the flowering time as 60 days, counted from the switch to 12/12. For indoor growing the breeder states 600 g/m². The plants grow medium-tall to tall; how big they actually get depends, according to the manufacturer, on factors such as pot size – it does not state a height in centimetres. With smaller pots, topping or a net, growth can be controlled in the tent. In the final weeks, make sure there is good air movement and controlled humidity so that the flowers ripen healthily. You will find the basics on training and climate in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to the breeder, harvests of over 700 g per plant are possible under the right conditions. Depending on the degree of ripeness, harvesting takes place towards the end of September to early October. Outdoors too, Banana Sherbet grows medium-tall to tall; there is no figure in centimetres. A spot in full sun, sheltered from the wind, and supports for heavily laden side shoots help to make the most of its potential. You can find more strains for open ground under outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Terpenes of Banana Sherbet
According to Original Sensible Seeds, Banana Sherbet tastes sweet and citrusy of sherbet, accompanied by sharp notes and a hint of banana; ripe banana shows in most phenotypes. As the dominant terpene the breeder names the citrusy limonene, as well as myrcene and caryophyllene. It describes the effect as active and cerebral, yet at the same time relaxing. With up to 28% THC, Banana Sherbet is one of the very strong strains; the manufacturer itself issues a warning. So dose carefully and wait for the effect before you take more. How intense it is depends on dose and personal tolerance.
