Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Banzaï
For Banzaï, Perfect Tree selected a mother cut from the seed stock of its core ZaiZai strains. According to the breeder, this mother forms extremely dense flowers coated in sticky resin with a strong Zkittlez and gas profile, and delivers a very good yield on top. It was crossed with the in-house Banana Punch male. The phenotype that Perfect Tree decided on retains the mother's traits and forms even denser flowers; the difference lies in the resin, whose consistency, thanks to Banana Punch, ranges from very greasy to rather dry. The strain is Indica-dominant and photoperiod; the manufacturer does not state an exact Indica-Sativa ratio. As regular seed, Banzaï produces male and female plants. You will find a Banana Punch from another breeder in our range with Banana Punch by Barney's Farm.
Who Is Banzaï For?
Banzaï is a strain for searching and selecting. It suits:
- Selectors who want to choose a mother plant of their own from regular seeds
- Hobby breeders looking for a male for their own crosses
- Resin lovers to whom the consistency of the resin matters
- Indoor growers who plan with 8 weeks of flowering
- Aroma fans with a liking for gas, cream and banana
If you want only female plants without any selection work, you are better served by feminised seeds – Banzaï is less suitable for that. And anyone who needs fixed THC and yield figures as a basis for planning will not find them with this strain either.
Growing Banzaï: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Perfect Tree gives the flowering time as 8 weeks and the yield as medium to high; the breeder does not state a figure in g/m² or a final height. Because Banzaï is regular seed, it is best to germinate more seeds than the number of plants you want to keep. The sex shows in pre-flowering: you remove male plants unless you want to pollinate deliberately. According to the breeder, the line offers a wide choice of phenotypes that differ mainly in terpenes and resin type – it is worth labelling the plants and taking cuttings from promising candidates. The very dense flowers need good air movement and controlled humidity in late flowering. You will find the basics on selection, climate and training in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
The breeder lists Banzaï for indoors and outdoors. It does not state a harvest date or a yield per plant; in the strain data, the outdoor harvest is only roughly assigned to October. So plan for a sunny, sheltered spot and, with the compact flowers, pay particular attention to mould in the damp autumn. Outdoors, too, you should identify and remove male plants early. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Banzaï
Perfect Tree sums up the aroma profile in four keywords: gas, Z, cream and banana. “Z” evidently refers to the Zkittlez note that the breeder already describes for the ZaiZai mother together with its gassy aromas. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. Because this is regular seed with many phenotypes, the aroma can differ from plant to plant – the breeder describes precisely the search for the right combination of terpenes and resin type as the real challenge. Perfect Tree gives no further details on the effect, and there is no THC or CBD value either; we therefore do not add any estimates. How the effect turns out depends on phenotype, harvest time, dose and individual tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
