Genetics & Origin of Biker Kush
Biker Kush is one of the best-known strains from the Dutch breeder Karma Genetics. It descends from the second backcross of HA-OG, a great favourite in-house; the breeder gives the lineage as HA-OG × Biker Kush v1. The repeated backcrossing consolidates the character of the OG mother – Karma Genetics speaks of a true, heavy OG that is meant to thrill Kush lovers worldwide. The strain is photoperiod and available exclusively as regular seed. The seeds therefore produce male and female plants, which makes it interesting for selectors and hobby breeders who are looking for a mother plant of their own or want to carry on working with Kush genetics. Biker Kush is itself a parent of further Karma strains: the beginner-friendly Highway Harmony Regular is a cross of Critical Mass and Biker Kush.
Who Is Biker Kush For?
Biker Kush is a strain for growers with patience. It suits:
- Kush and OG lovers looking for classic aromas of pine and citrus
- Selectors who want to choose their mother plant from regular seeds
- Hobby breeders who use male plants for their own crosses
- Yield-focused growers who can plan for 10 to 11 weeks of flowering
- Experienced consumers who prefer a very potent strain
If you want to harvest quickly or want only female plants without any selection work, a feminised strain is the better choice. You can find more regular lines under Classics and Landraces.
Growing Biker Kush: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Karma Genetics describes Biker Kush as a very productive plant. Flowering time is 10 to 11 weeks, which is above average – the reward is dense, rock-hard flowers. Because of the weight of the upper flowers, the plants should be supported towards harvest, for example with stakes or a net. As these are regular seeds, it is best to germinate more seeds than the number of plants you want to keep and determine the sex in pre-flowering; male plants are removed unless pollination is wanted. Good air movement protects the compact flowers in the long final phase. You will find the basics in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
The breeder lists Biker Kush for growing both indoors and outdoors. Because of the long flowering time of 10 to 11 weeks, it ripens late outdoors; a warm spot with a long, dry autumn or a greenhouse is therefore the safe choice. Karma Genetics does not state a fixed harvest date. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Biker Kush
Biker Kush offers the classic OG aromas: the breeder describes notes of Pine Sol, i.e. a sharp pine scent, and citrus fruit, carried by an earthy Kush undertone. The flowers are dense and rock-hard. Karma Genetics describes the strain as extremely potent but states neither a THC value nor a terpene profile, and the breeder gives no further details on the type of effect – so we deliberately do not add any estimates. With regular seeds you should also expect differences between individual plants. How the effect turns out in each case depends on phenotype, harvest time, dose and individual tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
