Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Black Cherry Gushers
Black Cherry Gushers comes from the Barney's Farm catalogue and, according to the manufacturer, combines the lines Acai and Black Cherry Funk. The result is a hybrid with 60% Indica and 40% Sativa, which the breeder states at up to 30% THC; it does not give a CBD value. The strain is presented in connection with a partnership between Barney's Farm and Backpack Boyz California. Its looks are striking: long, dense flowers in a rich forest green with mint-coloured accents, bright orange hairs and a thick layer of trichomes. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the light cycle is switched to 12/12. If you would like to compare other strains from the breeder, you will find Runtz by Barney's Farm in our range, for example; more lines with a Californian character are listed under US Genetics.

Growing Black Cherry Gushers: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Barney's Farm gives two figures for the flowering time: 70 to 75 days in the data sheet, 65 to 70 days elsewhere. So plan for around ten weeks and judge ripeness by the trichomes. The plants grow 100 to 120 cm tall indoors, and the manufacturer states up to 650 g/m². It does not give specific training recommendations. Because the flowers become long and dense, good air movement and controlled humidity make sense in the final weeks; heavy shoots can be supported with a net. You will find the basics on climate and training in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to the data sheet, Black Cherry Gushers reaches 120 to 180 cm. Harvest falls in October, more precisely in the third to fourth week of October – that is late and calls for a sunny, sheltered spot with a dry autumn, or a greenhouse. As the climate, the manufacturer lists cold, hot and temperate. Under good conditions, according to Barney's Farm, up to 2 kg per plant are possible; such quantities require large plants and sturdy supports. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Black Cherry Gushers
Barney's Farm describes the flavour of Black Cherry Gushers as a complex blend of apricot, berries and sweets, carried by a strong cherry note and sugary sweetness. In the aroma, according to the data sheet, apricot, cherry and sweets come together with an earthy, fruity side. The manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile. According to its description, the effect begins with a calming body high that gradually turns into relaxation, joy and sociability; the data sheet lists the terms happy, relaxing, sociable and uplifting. The breeder recommends it for relaxed get-togethers with friends as well as for switching off on your own. With up to 30% THC it is very strong – dose carefully. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
