Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Black Ghost OG
For Black Ghost OG, Original Sensible Seeds combined two of what it says are its strongest genetics: Black Domina and Colorado Ghost OG. The breeder describes the result as a modern cross that produces a heavily resin-covered plant with solid, thick buds. The data sheet gives 60% Indica and 40% Sativa as well as 25% THC; the manufacturer does not state a CBD value. Because the leaves, too, are densely coated in resin, the entire harvest can be used, according to the breeder – aromatic extracts are made from the trimmings. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the light cycle is switched. If you would like to do your own selecting with one of the parent lines, you will find Black Domina Regular by Sensi Seeds in our range.
Who Is Black Ghost OG For?
Black Ghost OG combines Kush character with high resin production. It suits:
- Kush and OG fans who like earthy aromas with a fruity strawberry note
- Extract lovers who also want to use the resinous leaves
- Indoor growers who plan for 60 to 65 days of flowering
- Outdoor gardeners in warm, Mediterranean locations
- Growers who like working with various training techniques
It is less suitable for consumers with a low tolerance, because 25% THC is very strong, and for anyone who needs a fixed plant height in advance – the manufacturer does not state one. You can find more strains whose packs contain additional seeds under Bonus Seeds.
Growing Black Ghost OG: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, Black Ghost OG flowers for 60 to 65 days according to the data sheet; elsewhere, Original Sensible Seeds speaks of 8 to 9 weeks. The manufacturer gives the yield as 550 g/m². According to its information, the strain is suitable for all growing methods and training techniques, so you can choose freely between topping, low-stress training or a net. The breeder does not state a plant height. The thick, resinous flowers need good air movement in the final weeks, and because of the strong Kush aroma a carbon filter makes sense. You can learn more about the training methods in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to the manufacturer, Black Ghost OG grows into a larger plant. It is suitable for most climate zones but thrives particularly in warm, Mediterranean areas, where harvesting can take place in early October. Original Sensible Seeds states a yield of 700 g per plant. In cooler locations, a spot in full sun and sheltered from rain helps to get the dense flowers through the autumn dry. You can find more outdoor strains under outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Black Ghost OG
According to Original Sensible Seeds, Black Ghost OG smells strong and complex of earthy Kush, overlaid with a fruity strawberry top note. In the flavour, the strawberry comes clearly to the fore. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. The flowers are thick and, by its description, dripping with sticky resin glands, which also shapes the smoke. According to the breeder, the effect begins with a psychedelic, upbeat high and then turns into a relaxed, calm feeling. The manufacturer also highlights the strain's exceptional power. With 25% THC it is among the very potent hybrids, which is why a low starting dose is advisable. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
