Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Black Muffin F1 Fast Version
Black Muffin F1 Fast Version is a first filial generation (F1) cross: Sweet Seeds crossed a photoperiod elite clone from its own stock with the selected autoflowering strain Black Lemon Auto. According to the breeder, the clone comes from the strain Red Hot Muffin, which Sweet Seeds lists under the code SWS83. The offspring are light-dependent, i.e. photoperiod, and are described by the manufacturer as ultra-fast flowering. The data sheet states 60% Indica and 40% Sativa, 17 to 25% THC and 0.1% CBD; the strain itself bears the code SWS111. Sweet Seeds describes a vigorous hybrid character with long side branches and thick, compact flowers full of resin. The seeds are feminised. Another F1 Fast Version from this breeder with coloured flowers is Red Mandarine F1 Fast Version.
Who Is Black Muffin F1 Fast Version For?
Black Muffin F1 Fast Version combines a very short flowering time with a strong THC content. It suits:
- Indoor growers who would like to harvest after around 7 weeks of flowering
- Outdoor gardeners who value an early harvest
- Lovers of dark-coloured flowers
- Fans of sweet-and-sour citrus and berry aromas
- Consumers who appreciate an effect that is relaxing and stimulating at the same time
It is less suitable for anyone who expects the same flower colour on every plant: according to the data sheet, the colouring only appears in around 60% of specimens. You can find more potent strains under Super High THC Content.
Growing Black Muffin F1 Fast Version: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
In the grow room, Black Muffin F1 Fast Version flowers for just 7 weeks according to Sweet Seeds, counted from the switch of the light cycle to 12/12. The manufacturer states 500 to 600 g/m² as the yield. A height of around 80 to 110 cm is given for indoor growing. The plants form long side branches with thick, compact flowers – a net or stakes help to carry the weight, and good air movement keeps the dense flowers dry. Because of the dense, strong aroma, an activated carbon filter makes sense. You will find the basics on climate and training in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
For open ground, Sweet Seeds states 400 to 600 g per plant. The harvest in the northern hemisphere is given as mid-September, which means the strain finishes early. No reliable height for open ground is available, so plan some headroom. A sunny, sheltered spot is the best precondition for the long side branches to ripen their flowers well. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Black Muffin F1 Fast Version
Sweet Seeds describes the aroma as dense, strong and sweet-and-sour: fresh notes of lemon and mandarin, with a sour undertone of red berries. For the flavour, the data sheet lists sweet and sour, fruity, citrus and forest berries. The manufacturer does not name individual terpenes or a lab terpene profile. According to the breeder, the flowers turn dark purple during flowering; in the data sheet this is listed as "red flower" and affects around 60% of specimens. Sweet Seeds describes the effect as intense but balanced – relaxing and cheering at the same time; it is said to stimulate lively conversation and the imagination. The THC content is 17 to 25%, the CBD content 0.1%. At the upper end of this range, the strain is very strong; how intense its effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
