Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Bogota
Bogota belongs to the seed programme of the US brand Cookies. The breeder's data sheet gives the lineage as GG4 × Medellin and lists the strain as a hybrid; no Indica or Sativa percentage is stated. The focus is on resin production: Cookies promises a plant that is “icier” and forms more trichomes than anything you have seen before. This makes Bogota particularly interesting for growers to whom densely covered flowers matter more than a complete data sheet. After all, the manufacturer does not state values for THC and CBD, nor individual terpenes or awards. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the light cycle is switched to 12/12. Another strain from the same breeder in our range is Peach Tea.
Who Is Bogota For?
Bogota is a hybrid with a medium flowering time and striking resin production. It suits:
- Growers to whom flowers densely covered in trichomes are important
- Fans of US genetics from the house of Cookies
- Indoor growers who plan for 8 to 9 weeks of flowering
- Outdoor gardeners with a sunny, sheltered spot
- Consumers looking for an effect that is euphoric and relaxing at the same time
If you need firm figures on THC content or terpene profile before buying, Bogota is less well suited to you – neither is stated. You can find more strains under feminised seeds.
Growing Bogota: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, according to the manufacturer, Bogota flowers for 8 to 9 weeks and yields 400 to 450 g/m². Cookies gives no information on height, so plan for some headroom in the grow room. Because the strain is geared towards very resinous flowers, good air movement and controlled humidity pay off in the final weeks. An activated carbon filter keeps the smell in check. The breeder gives no training advice; an even canopy generally helps to make good use of the light. You will find the basics on climate and lighting in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, the manufacturer states 450 to 500 g per plant. The breeder does not give a final height or a harvest month. A sunny spot sheltered from the wind supports ripening; towards the end, the resinous flowers should be protected from prolonged wet weather. You can find more feminised strains for outdoors under outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Bogota
The breeder says hardly anything about the aroma: it only speaks in general terms of juicy terpenes. An earthy base note is stated. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. The effect is considered euphoric and relaxing at the same time. Cookies does not state a THC or CBD value, so the potency cannot be quantified – we deliberately do not add an estimate. The focus of the strain is clearly on its looks: according to the manufacturer, the flowers are exceptionally densely coated with trichomes. With a strain without a THC figure, approach it cautiously. How intense the effect is depends on phenotype, harvest time, dose and personal tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
