Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Bruce Cookies
Bruce Cookies is one of the West Coast strains from Original Sensible Seeds, which the breeder lists under the name Original Sensible Cali. Two strains from this range were crossed, both of which were selected specifically for potency and production: Bruce Banner #3, described by the breeder as a tremendous THC producer, and the powerful Indica Do-Si-Dos OG. The result is Indica-dominant with 70% Indica and 30% Sativa. Original Sensible Seeds gives the THC content as 28%, and the breeder does not state a CBD value. It describes the flowers as firm and plump. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so they only flower after the light cycle is switched. The breeder also offers both lines individually: Bruce Banner 3 The Incredible Hulk and Do-Si-Dos OG.
Who Is Bruce Cookies For?
Bruce Cookies is bred for performance: lots of THC and lots of yield. It suits:
- Growers aiming for high yields per square metre
- Indica fans looking for a very potent strain
- Outdoor gardeners with space for plants 130 to 180 cm tall
- Lovers of lime, earth and diesel aromas
- Consumers with a high tolerance who appreciate a strong, balanced effect on head and body
At 28% THC, it is less suitable for occasional consumers with a low tolerance. You can find more Indica-dominant strains under Indica strains.
Growing Bruce Cookies: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, according to Original Sensible Seeds, flowering takes about 60 to 65 days, i.e. around nine weeks. The plants reach 100 to 160 cm; the breeder holds out the prospect of yields of about 700 g/m². At this height it is worth topping early or stretching a net so that the light arrives evenly. The firm, plump flowers become heavy – support the shoots in good time and ensure good air movement in late flowering. An activated carbon filter holds back the smell. You will find the basics on training and climate in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, Bruce Cookies grows 130 to 180 cm tall. On yield the manufacturer is not entirely consistent: the data sheet states 800 g per plant, while elsewhere it speaks of 800 g to over 1 kg. Original Sensible Seeds does not give a harvest month; go by the ripeness of the flowers. Choose a sunny, sheltered spot and tie up the heavy side shoots in good time. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Terpenes of Bruce Cookies
Original Sensible Seeds describes the flavour as lime and earth, underlaid with a diesel-herbal note. The terpene profile fits this: according to the breeder, limonene is dominant, and it also names caryophyllene, linalool and myrcene. The manufacturer describes the effect as strong but well balanced – it acts on the body as well as the head and is at once stimulating and relaxing. The breeder expressly addresses fans of powerful Indicas. At 28% THC, Bruce Cookies is one of the very potent strains; small amounts are enough to begin with. How intense the effect is depends on dose and personal tolerance.
