Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Bubblelicious
The origin of Bubblelicious is given as the American Midwest; in the 1990s the line was further refined in the Netherlands. Nirvana gives the genetics as Bubblegum, derived from Big Bud × Skunk #1, and describes the strain as a balanced hybrid; the breeder does not give percentages for Indica and Sativa. It puts the THC content at 13 to 18%, elsewhere at 15 to 18%, and the CBD content as low at 0.1 to 1%. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the switch to 12/12. It forms dense, resinous flowers, and according to Nirvana some phenotypes show a pink bubblegum aroma. If you would like to select for yourself, you will also find the same strain as Bubblelicious Regular.
Who Is Bubblelicious For?
Bubblelicious is an aroma-focused hybrid for the grow room and the garden. It suits:
- Aroma lovers hoping for a phenotype with a chewing-gum note
- Indoor growers who grow in a Sea of Green
- Growers who can plan for 8 to 10 weeks of flowering
- Outdoor gardeners in damper locations – the manufacturer mentions resistance to mould and wet weather
- Consumers looking for a physically relaxing effect in the evening
It is less suitable if you definitely expect the chewing-gum aroma, as it only appears in individual plants, or if you are looking for a CBD-rich strain. You can find more strains for the grow room under indoor seeds.
Growing Bubblelicious: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Nirvana gives the flowering time as 8 to 10 weeks; more precisely, elsewhere it says 9 to 10 weeks or 63 to 70 days. In a Sea of Green, the manufacturer states 350 to 450 g/m². The breeder describes the growth as medium-tall to tall with a final height of around 120 to 150 cm; it does not give a separate height for the grow room, so plan for enough space. The flowers become dense and resinous, so good air movement in the final weeks makes sense. You will find the basics on the Sea of Green in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to the manufacturer, Bubblelicious reaches about 120 to 150 cm and can produce 600 g per plant under ideal conditions. When planted in spring, Nirvana states a harvest at the beginning of September; you determine the exact time based on the trichomes. The breeder describes the strain as resistant to mould and wet weather; it credits the parent lines Big Bud and Skunk #1 with coping well with both hot and cold climates. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Terpenes of Bubblelicious
According to Nirvana, Bubblelicious smells sweet, floral and earthy; the flavour is fruity and sweet. Some phenotypes additionally develop a strikingly genuine aroma of pink chewing gum – this is not guaranteed in every plant. As dominant terpenes, the manufacturer names myrcene, caryophyllene and limonene. It describes the effect as physically relaxing, euphoric and slightly uplifting; it is said to unfold particularly well when consumed in the evening. According to Nirvana, the THC content is 13 to 18%, and the CBD content is low at 0.1 to 1%. This means Bubblelicious is not one of the strongest strains, but careful dosing still makes sense. How intense the effect is depends on dose and personal tolerance.
