Genetics & Origin of CBDrelax
CBDrelax is one of the new-generation CBD-rich strains from Paradise Seeds. According to the breeder, it was developed with genetics from its own strain collection; it does not say exactly which parent strains are involved. The result is a balanced hybrid with 50% Sativa and 50% Indica, 15% CBD and only 0.4% THC. Paradise Seeds also highlights the fast ripening, a distinctive terpene and flavonoid profile and an impressive yield. According to the breeder, a rich aroma with a sweet-and-sour note is characteristic. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the switch to 12/12. If you would like to compare further CBD lines from the same breeder, you will also find CBDrelief and CBDream in our range.
Who Is CBDrelax For?
CBDrelax is intended for anyone looking for relaxation but not a high. It suits:
- Consumers who want a lot of CBD and a very low THC content
- Anyone who wants to switch off and keep a clear head while doing so
- Fans of meditation, yoga and quiet evenings
- Growers with little headroom – the plants stay below 100 cm
- Outdoor gardeners who want to harvest at the end of September
If you expect a distinctly psychoactive effect, you will not be happy with 0.4% THC. More strains of this kind are listed under CBD seeds.
Growing CBDrelax: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Paradise Seeds gives the flowering time as 8 to 9 weeks; the data sheet states 55 to 60 days. According to the breeder, the plants stay below 100 cm and therefore also cope in low grow rooms. As a yield, the manufacturer states up to 450 g/m². It does not recommend any special training methods. With a CBD strain, the cannabinoid profile is the focus; it is therefore worth choosing the harvest time carefully and drying the flowers gently. You will find the basics on climate, light and harvest in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to the breeder, CBDrelax can be grown between 50 degrees north and 50 degrees south latitude. In the northern hemisphere it ripens at the end of September, and the yield is up to 300 g per plant. Paradise Seeds does not give a separate height figure for outdoors. The early harvest is an advantage in regions with a damp autumn; a sunny spot nevertheless remains important. You can find more strains for the garden under feminised outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of CBDrelax
According to Paradise Seeds, CBDrelax has a rich aroma with a sweet-and-sour note that is also found in the flavour; in the data sheet the breeder adds a gassy component. It speaks of a distinctive terpene and flavonoid profile but does not list any individual terpenes – the manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. It describes the effect as deep physical relaxation with a clear head at the same time, with a calm, almost meditative character. Paradise Seeds therefore recommends the strain for meditation, yoga and similar exercises. With 15% CBD and only 0.4% THC, a classic high is not to be expected; the breeder describes the strain as non-psychoactive. How you perceive the effect nevertheless depends on dose and personal tolerance.
