Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Chem 91 Sk Va
Chem 91 Sk Va is a famous name from the American East Coast. According to The Cali Connection, the genetics come from the Chem family and were made available to the breeder by Chem Dawg and his crew. According to the manufacturer, the line was outcrossed with Deadhead and then backcrossed to Chem 91, so that it is basically related to itself. The breeder gives the lineage as Chem 91 Skunk Va × Chem 91 BX1; for the regular seeds it states Chem 91 (female) × Chem 91 BX1. The strain is listed as an Indica/Sativa hybrid without a percentage figure. Male and female plants grow from regular seeds. SFV OG Kush also comes from The Cali Connection.
Who Is Chem 91 Sk Va For?
Chem 91 Sk Va is seed stock for everyone who wants to work with a line. It suits:
- Chem fans looking for the skunky kerosene aroma
- Selectors who choose a mother plant of their own from ten seeds
- Hobby breeders who need male plants for crosses
- Growers who train their plants and limit their height
- Collectors of American classics
If you want exclusively female plants without any selection, feminised seeds are the better choice. You can find more strains from North America under US Genetics.
Growing Chem 91 Sk Va: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
The Cali Connection describes flowering as brisk and gives 70 days to ripeness. According to the breeder, the plants form a solid flower structure and stay on the shorter side, with thicker stems. At the same time it warns that without training they sometimes grow too tall – so plan in topping, tying down or a net before you switch to 12/12. The manufacturer calls the yield large and does not give a figure in g/m². Because these are regular seeds, it is best to germinate more seeds than the number of plants you want to keep, determine the sex in pre-flowering and remove the males unless pollination is wanted. A carbon filter is advisable with this smell. More on this in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
The strain is designated for growing both indoors and outdoors; the breeder gives no outdoor figures of its own. Neither a harvest date nor a plant height nor a yield per plant is stated. With 70 days of flowering, a warm, sheltered location or a greenhouse is the safe choice. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Chem 91 Sk Va
The smell is the hallmark of this line: The Cali Connection describes it as very skunky and strongly of kerosene, with a lemon undertone of the kind typical of OG strains. The manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile. The effect is described as strong and head-focused; it is said to stimulate the head at first and later turn into physical relaxation. The manufacturer does not give a THC value – we deliberately do not add an estimate. With regular seeds you should also expect differences between individual plants. How the effect turns out in each case depends on phenotype, harvest time, dose and personal tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
