Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Cloud Walker
Cloud Walker begins with an expedition: in 2013, on a Strain Hunters trip in Colombia, the Green House Seeds team found the Punto Roja phenotype that serves as a parent here. The breeder describes Punto Roja as a famous Colombian landrace, known for red colours, plenty of resin and an extremely psychedelic high. It was crossed with a selection of Mendo Breath × Purple Punch from Inhouse Genetics which, according to Green House Seeds, shortens flowering time and plant size. The manufacturer gives the result as 70% Sativa and 30% Indica, with 25.93% THC, 0.63% CBD and 1.45% CBG. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod. You will also find one of the original lines individually in our range, in the form of Mendo Breath by Barney's Farm.
Who Is Cloud Walker For?
Cloud Walker is a vigorous, very potent Sativa hybrid. It suits:
- Experienced growers who can plan for and control strong stretch in flowering
- Outdoor gardeners in locations with a long, dry autumn
- Lovers of landrace genetics with a modern touch
- Fans of complex aromas of pineapple, vanilla and caramel
- Experienced consumers looking for a powerful, uplifting high
The strain is less suitable for a first grow: the very high THC content and the harvest at the end of October call for routine, and Green House Seeds too sees it with experienced growers and smokers. You can find more Sativa-leaning strains under Sativa strains.
Growing Cloud Walker: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, according to Green House Seeds, the flowering cycle takes 63 to 70 days, i.e. 9 to 10 weeks. The plant grows tall and should be supported: according to the manufacturer, it puts on a lot of growth in flowering and easily reaches double to triple its size. So send it into flower early, work with a net or stakes and plan for enough room height. The manufacturer rates the indoor yield as medium; it does not state a figure in g/m² or an indoor height. The flowers are compact, covered in resin and show a striking colouring, especially at the end of flowering. You will find advice on training and climate in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, Cloud Walker grows 170 to 200 cm tall on average and, according to the manufacturer, delivers 600 g per plant. Harvest falls at the end of October – that is late and requires a long autumn that is as dry as possible, or a greenhouse. Support the tall plants against wind and provide a sunny, airy spot so that the compact flowers dry off well in the damp weeks before harvest. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Terpenes of Cloud Walker
Green House Seeds describes a very complex bouquet: it ranges from tropical pineapple to sweet vanilla and caramel, underlaid with earthy tones. As the most pronounced terpenes, the manufacturer names D-limonene, β-pinene and ocimene. According to the breeder, the effect sets in very uplifting and, through the influence of the tropical landrace, feels almost psychedelic; later it turns into a more physical effect. With 25.93% THC and only 0.63% CBD, Cloud Walker is very strong – Green House Seeds sees it as a strain with a lot of potential for experienced smokers. If you have little tolerance, you should dose very carefully. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
