Genetics & Origin

Cookie Casket was developed through a collaboration between Barney’s Farm and Doja Exclusive, combining The Hearse with Thin Mint Cookies. The strain thus blends modern US breeding with one of the best-known Cookie lines. Thin Mint Cookies provides the characteristic cookie influence, whilst The Hearse brings additional depth, potency and a pronounced fuel component to the cross.

Barney’s Farm describes Cookie Casket as 70% Indica and 30% Sativa. The breeding programme was focused on high stability, robust cannabinoid production and a compact flowering structure. Typical features include large, densely packed buds with green and orange hues; individual phenotypes may also develop purple undertones. A heavy trichome coating underlines the strain’s modern, high-THC character.

As a cross between The Hearse and Thin Mint Cookies, Cookie Casket is particularly aimed at collectors seeking contemporary Cali-inspired genetics with a classic cookie influence. The strain combines dessert, spice and diesel notes with a distinctly relaxing Indica profile.

Why buy Cookie Casket?

Cookie Casket is an interesting choice for buyers seeking a limited-edition Barney’s Farm collaboration with Doja Exclusive. This feminised strain combines up to 30% THC, high resin production and a distinctive aroma of diesel, sweetness, earth, pepper and spices. Added to this are a comparatively short flowering time of 63 to 70 days and high yield estimates. It is particularly appealing to fans of modern Cookie and Cali genetics who prefer a potent, relaxing effect profile. Its limited availability further sets Cookie Casket apart from standard strains that are permanently available.

Indoor and outdoor cultivation

Cookie Casket is a feminised, photoperiod strain suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. Indoors, according to Barney’s Farm, it typically reaches around 120 cm and requires a flowering time of approximately 63 to 70 days. Under optimal conditions, the manufacturer quotes yields of up to 650 g/m². The plants grow bushy, develop strong side branches and form large, compact buds with a heavy resin coating.

This structure makes the strain well-suited to uniform canopy development. With dense buds, good air circulation is particularly important, as standing moisture should be avoided during late flowering. The extensive branching allows for efficient use of the available space.

Outdoors, according to the manufacturer, Cookie Casket can reach up to around 250 cm and, under very good conditions, produce yields of up to 2,000 g per plant. The recommended harvest time in the northern hemisphere is the second to third week of October. A sunny, sheltered spot helps the dense buds to mature. Height, yield and maturity time may vary depending on phenotype and environmental conditions.

Effect, cannabinoids and terpenes

Cookie Casket is described by Barney’s Farm as containing up to 30% THC and has a distinctly Indica-dominant effect profile. The effect combines deep physical relaxation with mental stimulation, creativity and an uplifting component. As a result, the effect can be intense without being described as purely sedative.

The aroma profile combines fuel and diesel with earthy, peppery, sweet and spicy notes. Fruity nuances also stand out in the flavour. The manufacturer describes the profile in general terms using aroma and flavour notes, but does not publish reliable concentrations of individual terpenes. Specific percentages for myrcene, caryophyllene or other individual terpenes should therefore not be cited as verified product characteristics. Individual perception can vary significantly.

Frequently asked questions about Cookie Casket

What are the genetics of Cookie Casket?

Cookie Casket is a cross between The Hearse and Thin Mint Cookies. The strain was developed as an exclusive collaboration between Barney’s Farm and Doja Exclusive. The manufacturer describes it as a modern, genetically stable hybrid with pronounced resin production and high THC potential. It has a 70% Indica and 30% Sativa composition.

What is the THC content of Cookie Casket?

Barney’s Farm states that Cookie Casket has a THC content of up to 30 per cent. This makes the strain one of the more potent strains in the manufacturer’s current range. The actual cannabinoid content may vary depending on the phenotype and harvest batch. Due to its potentially high potency, the effect profile is particularly suited to more experienced users.

Is Cookie Casket Indica or Sativa?

Cookie Casket is a distinctly Indica-dominant hybrid. Barney’s Farm states the ratio as 70 per cent Indica and 30 per cent Sativa. Accordingly, the strain combines intense physical relaxation with a certain degree of mental stimulation. It is therefore not a pure Indica, but has a clearly pronounced Indica focus.

How long does Cookie Casket take to flower?

According to Barney’s Farm, the indoor flowering time is approximately 63 to 70 days. This corresponds to around nine to ten weeks from the start of the flowering phase. Outdoors in the northern hemisphere, harvest is expected in the second to third week of October. Actual maturity may vary slightly depending on phenotype and environmental conditions.

How tall does Cookie Casket grow?

Indoors, Cookie Casket reaches a height of approximately 120 cm, according to the manufacturer. Outdoors, the strain can grow up to around 250 cm tall under suitable conditions. Its natural growth habit is described as bushy and heavily branched. The final size depends, amongst other things, on the location, available space and duration of growth.

What yield can Cookie Casket achieve?

Barney’s Farm quotes indoor yields of up to 650 g/m² under optimal conditions. Outdoors, according to the manufacturer, very large plants can yield up to 2,000 g per plant. These figures represent the potential genetic yield and are not a guarantee. Actual results are heavily influenced by location, climate and phenotype.

What does Cookie Casket taste and feel like?

In terms of flavour, Cookie Casket combines diesel and fuel notes with sweet, spicy and fruity undertones. Earthy and peppery notes are also distinctly prominent in the aroma. Barney’s Farm describes the effect as physically deeply relaxing, creative, uplifting and, at the same time, mentally stimulating. It thus combines a heavy Indica body effect with a more active mental component.
