Genetics & Origin of Cream 47
Sweet Seeds gives Cream 47 as a cross of its in-house Cream Caramel with a selected AK-47 clone. The result is a balanced hybrid with 50% Indica and 50% Sativa, which the breeder describes as very vigorous, productive and aromatic. The plants grow vigorously and evenly, branch well and form dense buds with plenty of resin. Sweet Seeds puts the THC content at 21% and the CBD content at 0.9%. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod; the plants therefore only go into flower after the light cycle is switched. If you would like to get to know the parent lines individually, you will find Cream Caramel in our range and the AK genetics as a stand-alone AK-47 by Serious Seeds – though there from a different breeder's line.
Who Is Cream 47 For?
Cream 47 combines yield, aroma and a balanced effect. It suits:
- Beginners looking for an evenly and vigorously growing strain
- Yield-focused growers who plan for 8 to 9 weeks of flowering
- Outdoor gardeners who would like to harvest at the end of September
- Lovers of very sweet aromas with an earthy undertone
- Consumers who appreciate a hybrid effect for creative hours or quiet evenings
If you expect a clearly Indica- or Sativa-typical effect, a 50/50 hybrid will serve you less well. The small pack contains two extra seeds; you can find more strains with bonus seeds under Bonus Seeds.
Growing Cream 47: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
In the grow room, Cream 47 flowers for 8 to 9 weeks; Sweet Seeds states 500 to 650 g/m² and calls the yield very high. The plants are vigorous, have an even structure and branch well. This side branching can be put to use with a net to distribute the light evenly over many shoots. Because the flowers become large, dense and resin-rich, good air movement in the canopy pays off in the final weeks. The manufacturer does not state a height. The even development also makes the strain easy to plan for a first grow. You will find the basics on light, climate and training in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
For open ground, the strain description gives the end of September as the harvest time. The yield figures differ somewhat: depending on the source, it is 400 to 750 g per plant. Outdoors, Cream 47 develops into a strong plant with even growth and sturdy shoots. A sunny location and supports put in place in good time help to bring the heavy flowers safely to maturity. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Cream 47
Sweet Seeds describes the aroma and flavour of Cream 47 as particularly sweet, carried by an earthy background that the strain inherited from Cream Caramel. The strain description also calls the flavour intensely fruity with creamy depth. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. According to the breeder, the effect is very powerful and at the same time well balanced between relaxation and stimulation, as is typical of Indica-Sativa hybrids: mentally stimulating, physically relaxing and pleasantly long-lasting. It is recommended for leisure, music and creative activities as well as for relaxed evenings. With 21% THC, Cream 47 is a strong strain; how intense its effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
