Critical Super Silver Haze 5 seeds

Genetics & Origin of Critical Super Silver Haze

For this strain, Delicious Seeds brought together two well-known names: Critical Mass and Super Silver Haze. According to the breeder's account, the cross unites the cerebral, energetic effect of Super Silver Haze with the robust yield and sturdy structure of Critical Mass. The genetics consist of 70% Sativa and 30% Indica, and the manufacturer gives the THC content as 21%; it does not state a CBD value. The strain won awards at the Copa Cannabica Mendoza: first place in the Indoor category in 2014 and second place Outdoor in 2015. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod – flowering only begins after the switch to 12/12. If you would like to grow one of the parent strains on its own, you will find in our range, for example, Super Silver Haze by Green House Seeds.

Who Is Critical Super Silver Haze For?

Critical Super Silver Haze combines Haze character with a manageable flowering time. It suits:

• Haze lovers who appreciate incense-like aromas
• SCROG growers looking for a leafy plant that is easy to shape
• Outdoor gardeners with good soil and plenty of space
• Yield-focused growers who want flowers that are easy to trim
• Consumers who prefer a creative, sociable high during the day

It is less suitable for situations that demand concentration or coordination – the manufacturer itself points this out because of the strong effect. You can find high-yielding strains with a short flowering time under High Yield & Short Flowering.

Growing Critical Super Silver Haze: Indoor & Outdoor

Indoor Growing

Indoors, Delicious Seeds states a flowering time of 60 to 70 days and 450 to 500 g/m². The strain grows uniformly and vigorously, especially in the flowering phase, and forms a lot of foliage. The manufacturer therefore recommends it for SCROG systems: the shoots are easy to bend or prune. To keep the height under control, it advises planting later than usual indoors, because the strain can grow tall if started early. The flowers are large and have little leaf, which makes trimming easier. The breeder rates the mould resistance as medium – so it is worth thinning out the dense foliage and ensuring air movement. More on training on the net can be found in the Growpedia.

Outdoor Growing

Outdoors, according to the manufacturer, Critical Super Silver Haze is ready for harvest in early October and produces 900 g per plant. Tall plants are possible provided they get good soil and enough space; Delicious Seeds does not state a height in centimetres. The pest resistance, rated as high, is an advantage outdoors. More outdoor strains can be found under outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.

Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Critical Super Silver Haze

According to Delicious Seeds, the flavour is incense-like, as is said to be characteristic of Super Silver Haze, with bittersweet, perfumed back notes. The breeder describes the aroma as intense and penetrating, with citrus undertones and mentholated wood; according to its information, some growers also perceive Haze and even varnish notes. In the fact sheet, by contrast, the strength of the smell is rated only as medium. The manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile. The high begins cerebral, uplifting and euphoric and lasts a long time; towards the end, a more physically relaxing phase sets in. The breeder recommends the strain for creative or social activities during the day. With 21% THC it is strong. How intense its effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
