Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Do-Si-Dos
Do-Si-Dos belongs to the Cookies family; according to Pyramid Seeds, it owes its name to the well-known American Girl Scout Cookies. For it, the breeder crosses Face Off OG with Girl Scout Cookies and gives the ratio as 70% Indica to 30% Sativa. There are three manufacturer figures for the THC content: the data sheet states 24%, while elsewhere Pyramid Seeds speaks of 25% and of over 25%. The CBD content is below 1%. The dark purple flowers are striking. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the light cycle is switched to 12/12. If you would like to place the names of the parent lines, you will find Girl Scout Cookies and Face Off OG Bilbo from other breeders in our range.
Who Is Do-Si-Dos For?
Do-Si-Dos is a strong Indica hybrid with a short flowering time. It suits:
- Fans of the Cookies family with a sweet, earthy aroma
- Indoor growers who would like to harvest after 55 to 60 days of flowering
- Growers who work with SCROG or LST
- Outdoor gardeners who want to harvest as early as September
- Consumers who are used to high THC levels
It is less suitable for anyone looking for a mild daytime strain: the manufacturer describes the effect as intense and later calming. You can find more strains with bonus seeds under Bonus Seeds.
Growing Do-Si-Dos: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Pyramid Seeds gives the flowering time as 55 to 60 days; under LED the manufacturer states 48 to 53 days. There are two figures for the yield: at least 350 g/m² under a 600-watt lamp and, elsewhere, 500 to 550 g/m². According to the manufacturer, the plant grows compact and bushy and is suitable for SCROG and LST. It does not state a height in centimetres. The climate is important to it: good ventilation and, in late flowering, humidity below 50%. As a photoperiod strain, Do-Si-Dos only flowers after the switch to 12/12. You will find more on training and climate in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to Pyramid Seeds, harvest is in September in Europe and in March in Latin America. The manufacturer gives the yield as 0.75 kg per plant, and elsewhere as 0.75 to 1 kg. It does not state a plant height for outdoor growing. Thanks to the early harvest, the strain is also an option where autumn turns wet early; a sunny, airy spot nevertheless remains the best choice. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Terpenes of Do-Si-Dos
Pyramid Seeds describes the flavour of Do-Si-Dos as sweet and exotically fruity, as you know it from Cookies, with the creamy touch of OG. The aroma is penetrating, sweet and earthy with floral nuances. As terpenes, the manufacturer names linalool, caryophyllene and limonene, though without quantities. In its words, the effect sets in quickly and intensely: a euphoric high that gradually turns into a state of relaxation and introspection and is called lastingly calming, elsewhere even sedating. Depending on which manufacturer figure you go by, the THC content is 24%, 25% or over 25%, the CBD content below 1%. That is very potent; how intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
