Genetics & Origin of Dragons Chernobyl
Dragons Chernobyl is a cross of Dragons Slyme and Dragons Ticket. Dragons Flame Genetics describes the division of labour like this: the Slyme line contributes the sweet-and-sour element, Dragons Ticket the powerful, dense structure. The outcome is a balanced hybrid with roughly equal shares of Indica and Sativa. The strain is photoperiod and offered as regular seed: the seeds produce male and female plants, which makes it interesting for selection and breeding projects of your own. The THC content is given as 25 to 30%; the breeder does not state a CBD value. It describes the flowers as colourful, heavily covered in resin and with strikingly orange hairs. From the same house you will find, for example, Blackberry Gas Regular in our range.
Who Is Dragons Chernobyl For?
Dragons Chernobyl is a resin-rich hybrid with a loud aroma. It suits:
- Selectors who want to choose a mother plant from regular seeds
- Hobby breeders who use male plants for their own crosses
- Fans of sweet-and-sour citrus and tropical aromas with a gas note
- Outdoor gardeners in warm locations with room for plants around two metres tall
- Consumers with a high tolerance looking for a stimulating, head-focused effect
The strain is less suitable for anyone who wants only female plants without any selection work, and for very low grow rooms. You can find more American lines under US Genetics.
Growing Dragons Chernobyl: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, Dragons Flame Genetics states a height of 100 to 140 cm and a flowering time of 9 to 10 weeks. The plants grow vigorously, branch well and form a great deal of resin. The breeder rates the yield as medium to high and does not state a figure in g/m². Because these are regular seeds, it is best to germinate more seeds than you want to keep in the end and determine the sex in pre-flowering; you take out male plants if pollination is not wanted. The good branching can be put to use with topping or a net, and with the strong smell a carbon filter makes sense. You will find the basics on this in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to the breeder, Dragons Chernobyl reaches 1.8 to 2.2 m and is harvested in mid-October. It describes the yield as high and stable and the strain as mould-resistant; it does not give an amount per plant. It likes warm locations, and with cooler nights the flowers show strong colours, according to Dragons Flame Genetics. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Dragons Chernobyl
The breeder describes the aroma of Dragons Chernobyl as fruity, funky and loud: lime, sweet citrus fruit, tropical and creamy notes, plus gas. In the flavour this continues as sweet-and-sour and creamy-fruity, with a hint of diesel. Dragons Flame Genetics does not name individual terpenes. By its account, the effect builds quickly and lasts a long time. It is described as euphoric and energetic, with a boost for creativity and a psychedelic note, while the body stays relaxed – the breeder has artistic sessions or long conversations in mind. With a stated 25 to 30% THC, the strain is very strong; so start low. How intensely it acts depends on dose and personal tolerance.
