Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Dried Fruits
Dried Fruits is a combination of three lines, which Cookies gives as (Irene OG × Zkittlez) × Gelato 41; at the breeder itself the strain goes by the spelling Dried Fruit. The manufacturer is open about the thinking behind it: Irene OG and Zkittlez, “Z” for short, are known for unusual flavour profiles, but neither for convenient growing nor for being easy to obtain. Gelato 41 is meant to balance out exactly that. According to Cookies, it brings the structure needed for good yields, makes the plant more tolerant of different growing conditions and contributes purple hues. The data sheet says “hybrid”; the breeder does not state an Indica/Sativa ratio. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod. The THC content is given as 20 to 25%. Another Zkittlez cross from the same house is ZZ4.
Who Is Dried Fruits For?
Dried Fruits is aimed at growers who choose by flavour. It suits:
- Phenotype hunters who want to find a profile of their own in a three-way cross
- Fans of Zkittlez, OG and Gelato lines
- Indoor growers who plan for 7 to 9 weeks of flowering and a height of 90 to 130 cm
- Lovers of purple-coloured flowers
- Consumers who appreciate fruity-sweet aromas and a relaxing, euphoric effect
The strain is less suitable if completely uniform plants are important to you – Cookies puts precisely the selection of unique profiles in the foreground. You can find more hybrids under feminised seeds.
Growing Dried Fruits: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
For Dried Fruits, Cookies gives a flowering time of 7 to 9 weeks and an indoor yield of 400 to 450 g/m². The height is given as 90 to 130 cm. Because the flowering time spans a range of two weeks, it is best to check ripeness by the trichomes of each individual plant. According to the manufacturer, Gelato 41 provides a structure that carries good yields and more tolerance of changing conditions. If you want to select, label the plants and take cuttings in good time in order to preserve the best profile. Cooler nights towards the end of flowering can further accentuate purple tones. You will find the basics in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, the manufacturer states 450 to 500 g per plant; the height is given as 150 to 200 cm. Cookies does not give a harvest date. At up to 200 cm, the plants need plenty of space – choose a sunny, sheltered spot where they can stay until they are ripe. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Dried Fruits
Cookies promises truly unique profiles for Dried Fruits but does not name any individual flavour notes. The aroma is described as fruity and sweet with hints of citrus and a slightly earthy undertone. The manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile. The effect is considered relaxing and euphoric. The THC content is given as 20 to 25%; the breeder does not state a CBD value. Because selecting your own profiles is expressly part of the concept with this three-way cross, smell and flavour can turn out differently from plant to plant. Visually, the manufacturer holds out the prospect of purple hues, which come from Gelato 41. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
