Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Eden CBD
Eden belongs to the CBD programme of Super Strains: by its own account, the breeder has dedicated itself to a portfolio of strains that are rich in CBD and contain very little THC. The genetics originate largely in Switzerland – a Swiss Sativa was crossed with one of the in-house Dutch Indica lines. The result is a hybrid with 70% Sativa and 30% Indica. The manufacturer gives the CBD content as 14% and the THC content as 0.2%, or below 0.2% in the data sheet; it states a CBD-to-THC ratio of 70:1. According to Super Strains, Eden is a favourite among professional CBD growers. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the light cycle is switched to 12/12. Another strain from the breeder in our range is Amajikoym.
Who Is Eden CBD For?
Eden CBD delivers a lot of CBD with barely any THC. It suits:
- Consumers looking for cannabis flowers without an intoxicating effect
- Growers who want to fill large areas quickly with SOG or SCROG
- Outdoor gardeners with room for very tall plants
- Lovers of menthol, mint and floral aromas
- Growers who cultivate CBD-rich starting material for further processing
It is less suitable for anyone expecting a noticeably psychoactive effect – the THC content is too low for that. You can find strains with THC under feminised seeds.
Growing Eden CBD: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Super Strains describes Eden as a forgiving plant with great natural resistance to pests and adverse conditions. It develops quickly and forms a few side branches, which is why the breeder recommends it for SOG and SCROG. For conventional growing, it states 12 to 15 plants per square metre in pots of 7 to 10 litres. Flowering time is 60 to 65 days; the data sheet states 8 to 9 weeks. As for yield, the data sheet gives up to 650 g/m², the manufacturer elsewhere up to 600 g/m² under perfect conditions. The manufacturer does not state an indoor height. You will find the basics on SOG and SCROG in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to the manufacturer, Eden grows quickly and very tall: the data sheet states a maximum of 250 cm, while elsewhere there is mention of up to 300 cm. According to the breeder, the strong branches bear the weight of their own flowers. Super Strains recommends planting the seeds at the end of May or the beginning of June; harvest then takes place from the end of September to the beginning of October, while the data sheet says September. Under ideal conditions, the manufacturer states up to 900 g per plant. Allow plenty of space. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Eden CBD
Super Strains describes the aroma of Eden as strong and intense, with menthol notes and floral undertones. The smoke is considered pleasant and smooth, accompanied by shifting mint and menthol nuances; after curing, according to the manufacturer, the aromas become even more intense. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. It sums up the effect as relaxing and calming – a CBD experience for the whole body without psychoactivity. Because THC is almost absent at around 0.2%, the breeder also considers the strain suitable for daytime consumption. At 14% CBD, the cannabidiol content is high. Even with a CBD strain, the same applies: how you perceive the effect depends on dose and individual tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
