Genetics & Origin of Eleven Roses Early Version
The story begins with Project-11: more than three years ago, according to Delicious Seeds, the breeding team set about further improving its own Sugar Black Rose (DS27), which according to the manufacturer has won more than 30 cups. A male Appalachian Kush from the USA was chosen as the partner; this gave rise to Eleven Roses (DS31), for which the breeder states about 55 days of flowering. For the Early Version the data sheet gives 45 days, and as the line it names Eleven Roses × Ruderalis. Delicious Seeds lists it as 100% Indica with 24.8% THC and a fairly low CBD content. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the switch to 12/12. You will also find the original strains Eleven Roses and Sugar Black Rose in our range.
Who Is Eleven Roses Early Version For?
Eleven Roses Early Version is aimed at everyone who wants to harvest a heavy Indica in a short time. It suits:
- Indoor growers who, according to the data sheet, plan with just 45 days of flowering
- Outdoor gardeners who would like to harvest as early as the beginning of September
- Extract enthusiasts – the data sheet states a BHO performance of 25%
- Growers in damper locations who look for high mould resistance
- Consumers with tolerance looking for a narcotic strain for the evening
It is less suitable for anyone who is looking for a stimulating daytime strain or has only a low THC tolerance. You can find more pure Indicas under 100% Indica.
Growing Eleven Roses Early Version: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
In the data sheet, Delicious Seeds gives the flowering time of the Early Version as 45 days and the yield as 600 g/m². According to the strain description, growth is fairly small: indoors the plant forms few branches, which end in a dense, uniform flower. During flowering the leaves change colour – the breeder compares this to an autumn day in the great forests of the north. Resistance to mould and pests is given as very high, and tolerance to watering as high. The manufacturer does not state a height in centimetres for indoor growing. You will find the basics on light and climate in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to the description, the strain develops vigorously, with many side branches. Delicious Seeds gives the harvest as early September. On yield, the data sheet says up to 2,000 g per plant; in the description of Eleven Roses, the breeder states more than 1,000 g for a plant 1.5 metres tall. Such quantities require plenty of space, sun and supports for the side branches. You can find more early strains under High Yield & Short Flowering. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Eleven Roses Early Version
When smoked, according to Delicious Seeds, a slightly metallic Kush flavour appears first, which after a few seconds gives way to subtle sweet fruits and damp, earthy notes. The data sheet sums up the flavour as sweet fruits and rates the aroma strength as high. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. The breeder briefly describes the effect as narcotic; the strain is said to be quite strong. The data sheet states 24.8% THC, elsewhere the figure is 24 to 25% “in the right hands”, along with a fairly low CBD content. The breeder attributes the colours and aromas to the Appalachian Kush, which it says has given the line a new palette. Overall, this points more to the evening and to consumers with tolerance. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
