Genetics & Origin of Eleven Roses
Delicious Seeds designed Eleven Roses as a further development of Sugar Black Rose: it was crossed with a potent Appalachian Kush male. The breeder lists the result as 100% Indica with a THC content of up to 24.8% and a low CBD content. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the light cycle is switched to 12/12. Its resilience is highlighted: Delicious Seeds rates the resistance to mould and pests as very high, and the tolerance of fluctuations in watering as high. During flowering, the plants show autumnal hues. In 2017, the strain took first places in the BHO category at the Cannabis Cup Lanzarote, the Copa del Castillo Tenerife and Biomenorcannabis Menorca, as well as a third place at the Copa Volcanna II Lanzarote. You can find more strains of this type under Indica strains.
Who Is Eleven Roses For?
Eleven Roses is a compact, very potent Indica. It suits:
- Indoor growers who want to grow in a Sea of Green
- Outdoor gardeners who would like to harvest as early as mid-September
- Growers for whom very high resistance to mould and pests is important
- Extract fans looking for a strain that has won awards for BHO
- Consumers with a high tolerance who want to relax deeply in the evening
Because of its narcotic effect, it is less suitable as a daytime strain, and the very strong smell demands good exhaust air filtration indoors. You can find similarly high-yielding strains under High Yield & Short Flowering.
Growing Eleven Roses: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, Delicious Seeds recommends Eleven Roses for Sea of Green set-ups. The plants stay short and compact, form only a few side branches and develop dense, uniform flowers. After 55 to 60 days of flowering, up to 600 g/m² is possible according to the manufacturer. Because of the very strong smell, a powerful carbon filter is part of the basic equipment. According to the breeder, the strain forgives fluctuations in watering and is very resistant to mould and pests; good air movement still does the dense flowers good. You will find the basics on climate and training in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, the strain presents a different picture: it grows vigorously, forms numerous side branches and can reach a height of 1.5 m. According to Delicious Seeds, flowering ends in mid-September. As the yield, the breeder states up to 2,000 g per plant – a maximum value that presupposes plenty of sun, root space and a long vegetative phase. The very high resistance to mould and pests stated by the breeder is an additional advantage outdoors. You should support heavy branches in good time. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Eleven Roses
According to Delicious Seeds, the smell of Eleven Roses is very strong: at first sharp with a metallic overtone, then rich, earthy and sweet. In the flavour, metallic Kush tones are followed by sweet fruit and deep earthy notes – overall a balance of sweetness and Kush spice. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. It describes the effect as strongly narcotic and relaxing: it is said to begin deeply relaxing and quickly become calming. As the best time, the breeder names the night or moments when deep relaxation is called for. With up to 24.8% THC, the strain is very potent; if you have little tolerance, dose carefully. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
