ErdbeerX Seeds – Swiss Indica from Erdbeer × NLX
What is ErdbeerX? ErdbeerX by Helvetic Seeds is a feminised, photoperiod Indica bred from Erdbeer × NLX, the cross of two Swiss clone-only strains from the breeder. The Indica share is 90%, the Sativa share 10%. Indoors it flowers for 7 to 8 weeks; outdoors, harvest is from late September to early October. According to Helvetic Seeds, it is at least as high-yielding as NLX and forms denser, larger buds; the breeder gives no figures for THC, height or yield. The scent combines the spiciness of NLX with strawberry – in the Indica strains category. Available in packs of 3, 5, 10, 25 and 100 seeds.

Genetics & Origin of ErdbeerX
For Helvetic Seeds, ErdbeerX is the logical cross of the house's two Swiss clone-only strains: Erdbeer and NLX. Clone only means that such strains are otherwise only passed on as cuttings. In appearance and growth behaviour, ErdbeerX unites the best traits of both parents, according to the breeder. It gives the genotype as 90% Indica and 10% Sativa. This already shows in the vegetative phase: the leaves are dark green, broad and fleshy, as with classic Afghan strains. Helvetic Seeds describes the original Erdbeer as a typical outdoor strain; ErdbeerX, by contrast, can be grown indoors as well as outdoors. The breeder does not state a THC or CBD value. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod. You can find more feminised strains for open ground under outdoor strains.
Who Is ErdbeerX For?
ErdbeerX is a strongly Indica-influenced cross with a short flowering time. It suits:
- Indica lovers who like Afghan-type plants with broad leaves
- Growers who want to harvest indoors after 7 to 8 weeks of flowering
- Outdoor gardeners who would like to be finished between late September and early October
- Fans of spicy aromas with a strawberry note
- Growers planning larger quantities – there are packs of up to 100 seeds
It is less suitable for anyone who needs documented THC and yield figures before buying, because the breeder does not publish such values. More fast, high-yielding strains are listed under High Yield & Short Flowering.
Growing ErdbeerX: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, Helvetic Seeds gives the flowering time as 7 to 8 weeks. As a photoperiod strain, ErdbeerX only begins to flower when you switch to 12/12. In the vegetative phase it shows its Indica character with dark green, broad and fleshy leaves. On yield, the breeder sticks to a comparison: at least as much as NLX, with denser buds, similar to those of Erdbeer, only larger. It does not state a figure in g/m² or a plant height. Dense flowers need good air movement and moderate humidity towards the end; to help with that, you can thin out the broad foliage a little in the lower area. You will find the basics on this in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to Helvetic Seeds, ErdbeerX ripens from late September to early October. The breeder describes the parent strain Erdbeer as a typical outdoor strain. It gives no details on height or yield per plant. Choose a sunny, airy spot so that the dense buds dry off quickly after rain. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of ErdbeerX
In terms of scent, according to Helvetic Seeds, ErdbeerX unites the spiciness of NLX with the scent of strawberry – the breeder simply calls the result very tasty. It does not provide a more precise description of the flavour or individual terpenes. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. Helvetic Seeds gives no details on the effect either, nor on the THC or CBD content. We deliberately do not add any estimates here. Only the genetics are certain: 90% Indica and 10% Sativa. With plants grown from seed, you should also expect differences between individual specimens. How the effect turns out for you depends on phenotype, harvest time, dose and personal tolerance.
