Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Euforia
Euforia comes from the Skunk breeding project that Dutch Passion carried out in 1996. According to the breeder, this project gave rise to a whole Skunk family which, alongside Euforia, also includes Skunk #1, Skunk #11, Skunk Passion and Orange Bud. Euforia stood out early on for high yields and a stable, uniform line; Dutch Passion reports that, because of this stability and its ease of cloning, it was also used by many other breeders. The manufacturer does not state Indica and Sativa percentages; according to Dutch Passion, around 18% was measured for the THC content. The breeder lists two awards: 1st place at the Highlife Cup 2002 and 2nd place at the HTCC 2000. This item contains regular seeds, from which male and female plants grow. You will also find the feminised variant in our range as Euforia.
Who Is Euforia For?
Euforia is a stable Skunk line with a short flowering time and high yield potential. It suits:
- Selectors who want to choose a mother plant from regular seeds
- Hobby breeders who use male plants for their own crosses
- Indoor growers who would like to harvest after seven to eight weeks of flowering
- Greenhouse gardeners who grow under natural light
- Lovers of a skunky, not very sweet flavour
If you want only female plants without any selection work or are looking for a decidedly sweet aroma, this strain is a less good choice. You can find more proven regular lines under Classics and Landraces.
Growing Euforia: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, Dutch Passion recommends a flowering time of seven weeks until harvest, and eight at most, in order to obtain the best possible quality of high. The plants grow 1 to 1.5 metres tall; the breeder gives the yield as 400 to 600 g/m² and the ratio of flowers to leaves as roughly 50:50. Because these are regular seeds, it is best to germinate more seeds than the number of plants you want to keep and remove the male plants in pre-flowering, unless you want to breed. According to the manufacturer, Euforia is very easy to clone; cuttings from a mother plant develop vigorously and uniformly. You will find the basics in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
For open ground, Dutch Passion refers to Dutch outdoor growers, according to whose reports Euforia delivered excellent flowers in plentiful quantities in good summers. The breeder also names the greenhouse as an excellent place to grow it: under natural light, the strain ripens there from late October to early November. That is late – without a greenhouse you need a warm, dry autumn and a sheltered location. The manufacturer does not state a yield per plant. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Euforia
According to Dutch Passion, Euforia smells fresh and tastes very skunky, though not particularly sweet. The manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile. The effect gives the strain its name: the breeder describes a particularly euphoric high that is felt immediately and puts you in a relaxed, carefree and happy state. To preserve this character, it advises not extending flowering beyond eight weeks. According to the manufacturer, THC values of around 18% were measured for the strain; Dutch Passion describes it as extremely potent. By their own account, Euforia is the personal favourite of some of the breeder's team. With regular seeds, individual plants can differ; how intense the effect is also depends on dose and individual tolerance.
