Genetics & Origin of Face Off OG Bilbo
According to Genehtik Seeds, the story of this strain begins in California at the end of the 1990s, when an exceptional OG Kush phenotype turned up. It was given the name Face Off – after the film with John Travolta and Nicolas Cage in which the main characters swap faces. According to legend, the strong effect “changes” the face, which made the strain popular among Californians. According to the breeder, Face Off OG Bilbo is this original Face Off OG Kush, feminised in Bilbao; in the data sheet it lists the cross as Face Off OG Kush × OG Lemon Bilbo. The genotype is 70% Indica and 30% Sativa, and the THC content averages 21% (range 20 to 22%). The seeds are photoperiod. You will also find the second parent with us as OG Lemon Bilbo.

Growing Face Off OG Bilbo: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Genehtik Seeds gives the flowering time as 60 to 63 days and notes that the strain needs 63 days to develop optimally. The breeder states a yield of 500 to 600 g/m². It describes the plant as medium-sized and vigorous; it does not give a height in centimetres. It forms dense, extremely resinous flowers with thick, reddish pistils that stand out against the lime green of the flowers. With such compact flowers, good air movement in the final weeks is worthwhile, and a carbon filter holds back the strong smell. Flowering only starts after the switch to 12/12. You will find the basics in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, the manufacturer states 1,000 to 1,300 g per plant and October as the harvest month (northern hemisphere). Genehtik Seeds does not narrow the date down any further, and an outdoor height is missing too. So plan for a sunny spot that is still dry and warm enough in October, and support the shoots in good time – plants with yields like these carry a heavy load. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Face Off OG Bilbo
According to Genehtik Seeds, Face Off OG Bilbo shows the characteristics of OG Kush: an earthy flavour, a mossy smell and the aroma of a damp forest. The breeder does not name individual terpenes or a lab terpene profile. It describes the effect as that of a strong Indica – narcotic and calming. That speaks for the evening and against hours in which you still have plans. Genehtik Seeds gives the THC content as 21% on average and the range as 20 to 22%. Even the name alludes to this power: according to legend, the effect is said to “change the face”. Take that as a reason to dose carefully – how intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
