Frictrix Regular 13 seeds

Genetics & Origin of Frictrix

The starting point for Frictrix was Apple Fritter, whose effect the breeder counts among the most sought-after of the new-school strains. To give the sweet apple flavour more sourness and additional potency, Lucky Dog Cannabis Co. crossed it with Chemdog 91 Bx3, a backcrossed line that goes back to the original Chemdog cut from 1991. According to the breeder, the structure was also improved in the process: the plants stand on a sturdy frame but keep the unusual, sword-like flowers. Many continue to show aubergine-coloured undertones and pure white trichomes. The manufacturer does not state an Indica or Sativa share, and THC or CBD values are missing too; it merely speaks of heavy potency. Frictrix is photoperiod and regular, so it produces male and female plants. A feminised Apple Fritter from a different breeding programme is Apple Fritter by Royal Queen Seeds.

Who Is Frictrix For?

Frictrix combines apple aroma with Chemdog genetics and comes as regular seed. It suits:

• Selectors who choose a mother plant from regular seeds
• Fans of apple and pastry aromas with a sour fuel note
• Hobby breeders who want to bring Chemdog 91 genetics into their own projects
• Growers who appreciate sword-like flowers, aubergine-coloured tones and white trichomes
• Consumers who prefer a balanced effect with moderate body relaxation

If you want to raise only female plants without selection, you are better served by feminised seeds. You can find more strains of this origin under US Genetics.

Growing Frictrix: Indoor & Outdoor

Indoor Growing

Lucky Dog Cannabis Co. states 56 to 63 days of flowering for Frictrix, counted from the switch to 12/12. The breeder describes the growth as sturdy, with improved structure; it gives no figures for height, stretch or yield. Because these are regular seeds, it is best to germinate more seeds than the number of plants you want to keep. The sex shows in pre-flowering; you take male plants out if pollination is not wanted. Cuttings from the best females secure your favourite for later runs. With such an aroma-driven strain, a good carbon filter is part of the basic equipment. You can find more on this in the Growpedia.

Outdoor Growing

In the shop, Frictrix is rated for growing both indoors and outdoors. The breeder does not state a harvest date, a plant height or a yield per plant for open ground. Check the sex early outdoors too, and give the plants a sunny spot sheltered from the wind. Judge ripeness by the trichomes. Only grow where it is legal to do so.

Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Frictrix

In the aroma, sweetness meets sourness: Lucky Dog Cannabis Co. describes sweet apple notes reminiscent of pastry, together with a sharp, sour fuel note. Exactly this additional sourness was the aim of the cross. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. The breeder portrays the effect as an evenly balanced high: mind and mood lift quickly, accompanied by moderate physical relaxation. As for strength, it speaks of heavy potency but does not give a THC value. With regular seeds, individual plants can also differ. How intense the effect is depends on phenotype, dose and individual tolerance.
