Frisian Duck Seeds – Duck-Foot Leaves by Dutch Passion
What is Frisian Duck? Frisian Duck by Dutch Passion is a feminised, photoperiod strain bred from Frisian Dew × DucksFoot. Its hallmark is leaves shaped like a duck's foot, which make the plant hard to recognise as cannabis. Outdoors it grows 2 to 3 m tall and is ripe in early October; indoors it reaches up to 1.5 m. Dutch Passion states 7 to 9 weeks of flowering, 400 to 500 g/m² and a medium THC content. Aromas of pine, citrus and fresh forest are typical. In our shop it is classified as a strain for experienced growers – in the feminised outdoor seeds category. Available in packs of 3 and 10 seeds.

Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Frisian Duck
Frisian Duck is a cross of Frisian Dew with DucksFoot. The leaf shape to which the name refers is striking: the leaves look like a duck's footprint, above all in the first two thirds of the life cycle. Only during flowering can some of the upper leaves take on the familiar cannabis shape. Dutch Passion expressly recommends the strain for growing outdoors and in greenhouses in populated areas, because for a long time it cannot be recognised as a cannabis plant. During flowering it can show purple colours; its growth is reminiscent of a Christmas tree. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod. The breeder does not state Indica and Sativa shares or a CBD value; it rates the THC content as medium, without a percentage. Also from Dutch Passion, we stock for example Hollands Hope.
Who Is Frisian Duck For?
Frisian Duck is a specialist for inconspicuous gardens and is classified in our shop as a strain for experienced growers. It suits:
- Experienced outdoor gardeners with a quiet, sunny spot
- Greenhouse growers in populated areas
- Growers who want to combine an inconspicuous leaf shape with generous yields
- Fans of pine, citrus and forest aromas
- Collectors of unusual genetics that can show purple colours during flowering
It is less suitable if you are just starting out with growing or are looking for a very potent strain – the manufacturer rates the THC content as medium. You can find other strains under feminised seeds.
Growing Frisian Duck: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Frisian Duck was created for outdoors, but according to Dutch Passion it also thrives indoors, where it grows up to 1.5 m tall. The manufacturer gives the flowering time as 7 to 9 weeks; it only begins after the switch to 12/12. Dutch Passion lists the yield in the XXL class and states 400 to 500 g/m² as possible; it describes the buds as compact. Because of the Christmas-tree-like growth, you should plan for enough headroom. The breeder calls the strain resilient and easy to grow; in our shop it is nevertheless classified as a strain for experienced growers. You will find the basics in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, the strain plays to its strengths: for large parts of its life cycle it can hardly be recognised as cannabis. According to Dutch Passion, it grows 2 to 3 m tall and is ready for harvest in early October, in the southern hemisphere in early April. According to Dutch Passion, a quiet, sunny corner in the garden, in the greenhouse or in the countryside is enough. The manufacturer does not state a yield per plant but does speak of generous yields. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Frisian Duck
Frisian Duck forms compact flowers with aromas of pine, citrus fruit and fresh forest; according to Dutch Passion, the flavour is similar. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. It describes the effect as a good-quality high with a refreshing Sativa head buzz – in other words, a fresh, heady effect. The breeder gives no further details, for example on duration. Dutch Passion rates the THC content as medium; the manufacturer does not give a percentage. If you are used to very strong strains, you should therefore not expect peak values. Regardless of this: how intense the effect is depends on dose and personal tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
