Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Frozana
By its own account, Frozana was a real surprise for Perfect Tree: the breeder had not expected such a broad and distinctive result from this pairing. The mother, a Frozini cut, brings a very sweet cherry-candy profile. According to the manufacturer, it was only the crossing-in of Banana Punch that shifted the terpenes in an exotic direction, which it describes as a tropical fruit salad. Frozana is listed as an Indica-dominant hybrid; Perfect Tree does not state an exact share, a THC value or a CBD value. The strain is photoperiod and regular: the seeds produce male and female plants, which makes it interesting for selection and for crosses of your own. It belongs to the breeder's Banana Punch line. A Banana Punch from a different breeding programme is Banana Punch by Barney's Farm.
Who Is Frozana For?
Frozana is aimed at growers for whom flavour matters more than a full data sheet. It suits:
- Aroma fans looking for tropical fruit notes
- Selectors who want to choose a mother plant from twelve regular seeds
- Hobby breeders who start their own crosses with male plants
- Growers who appreciate a short flowering time of 8 weeks
- Lovers of striking, strongly scented flowers
Frozana is less suitable if you want only female plants without any selection work or have to grow inconspicuously – according to the breeder, the smell is intense. You can find more lines of this kind under regular cannabis seeds.
Growing Frozana: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Perfect Tree states 8 weeks of flowering for Frozana and rates the yield as medium to high; the breeder does not state a figure in g/m² or a plant height. Because the seeds are regular, it is best to germinate more seeds than the number of plants you want to keep and determine the sex in pre-flowering. You take out male plants unless you want to pollinate deliberately. According to the manufacturer, the flowers give off an intense smell – a powerful carbon filter therefore makes sense. For storage, Perfect Tree advises vacuum-sealing the flowers. You will find the basics on selection and climate in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
The breeder lists Frozana for indoors and outdoors but gives no further details for open ground: harvest date, height and yield per plant are missing. A sunny spot sheltered from the wind is the prerequisite. Remove male plants in good time if no seeds are to be produced. You can find more strains for open ground under regular outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Frozana
Frozana is first and foremost a terpene strain. Perfect Tree describes the profile as a tropical fruit salad and considers it probably the most pronounced terpene profile of the entire line – a recommendation for everyone for whom flavour comes above all else. The cherry-candy sweetness of the Frozini mother forms the base, and according to the breeder Banana Punch turned the whole thing towards the exotic. The manufacturer does not name individual terpenes or lab values. By its account, the smell of the flowers is so intense that it advises vacuum-sealing. On the effect, Perfect Tree says only that it is strong; the breeder does not describe how it feels, and a THC value is missing too. With regular seeds, individual plants also differ noticeably. How intense the effect is depends on phenotype, dose and individual tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
