Genetics & Origin of Frozen Jungle
Frozen Jungle is one of the more recent strains from Perfect Tree Seeds, the breeders from Barcelona. The mother, Perfect Triangle, comes from Jungle Boys genetics and is a cross of Triangle Kush and Perfect OG; according to the breeder, it contributes the intensely calming OG traits. The father, Frozay, is a hybrid of Gelato 41 and Rozay from Relentless Genetics and contributes fresh berry terpenes. Perfect Tree describes its offspring as strongly Indica-leaning, with very high trichome production. Frozen Jungle is the F1 generation of this cross. The breeder does not give a percentage for Indica and Sativa or THC or CBD values in the strain description. The seeds are regular and photoperiod: they produce male and female plants. Going by the name, Frozay is also in Spritz x Frozay Regular from the same house.
Who Is Frozen Jungle For?
Frozen Jungle is a strain for growers who enjoy selecting and working with regular seeds. It suits:
- Selectors looking for special plants in an F1 cross
- Hobby breeders who use male plants for their own projects
- Fans of OG, pine and gas aromas with a sweet berry note
- Lovers of flowers heavily covered in resin
- Consumers looking for a strongly calming, body-focused effect
It is less suitable if you want exclusively female plants or need fixed figures for THC, height and yield. You can find more strains of this kind under regular cannabis seeds.
Growing Frozen Jungle: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Perfect Tree states that Frozen Jungle is generally finished after 9 weeks of flowering; as a photoperiod strain, it only flowers after the switch to 12/12. The breeder describes the yield as medium to high, without giving figures in g/m². It gives no details on height either. With an F1 hybrid from regular seeds, it is worth germinating several seeds and comparing the plants. You determine the sex in pre-flowering; you remove male plants unless pollination is wanted. Because of the strong gas aroma, a carbon filter makes sense. You will find the basics in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
For growing outdoors, the breeder states neither height nor harvest time nor yield per plant; in the shop, the strain is listed for indoors and outdoors. With 9 weeks of flowering, you need a location where autumn stays dry and sunny for long enough, or a greenhouse. The same applies here: spot male plants early and remove them if you want to harvest seedless flowers. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Frozen Jungle
Perfect Tree describes the flavour as an exotic blend: fresh OG and pine gas, accompanied by very sweet, exotic berry notes. The breeder attributes the berry terpenes to the Frozay father and the OG side to the Perfect Triangle mother. The manufacturer does not name individual terpenes or a lab terpene profile. Perfect Tree comments on the effect only via the parent lines: the mother is said to anchor strongly sedating Indica traits, and the offspring of the Frozay father are said to have an intensely calming effect on the body. The breeder does not give a THC value – so we do not add an estimate. With regular F1 seeds, individual plants can differ in aroma and strength. How intense the effect is depends on phenotype, dose and individual tolerance.
