Genetics & Origin
Gala CBD is a cross of Hercules x Pure Sativa Nepal, bred by the Spanish breeder R-Kiem Seeds, a seed company specialised in CBD-rich genetics. The pure Nepalese sativa parent gives the plant its sativa-leaning growth (80% Sativa / 20% Indica) and its signature citrus and forest-fruit aroma, while Hercules contributes robustness and outstanding resin production.
Who Is Gala CBD Best Suited For?
Gala CBD is particularly well suited to growers who value a mild, non-psychoactive cannabinoid profile without sacrificing resin and aroma. Thanks to its pyramidal structure with wide-spreading side branches at roughly 45 degrees, the strain suits growers who prefer a high-yielding, well-ventilated plant shape, also as a complement to THC-rich strains.
Growing Gala CBD: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, a roughly three-week vegetative phase under CFL lighting is recommended, followed by a flowering period of 9 to 10 weeks. Yields reach 500 to 650g/m², and the wide-spreading, satellite-rich side branches benefit from targeted defoliation and adequate spacing between plants.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, Gala CBD is ready for harvest by mid-autumn and, under good conditions, also delivers yields of 500 to 650g per plant. The sativa-leaning genetics benefit from a sunny, sheltered location with enough room for the plant's spreading structure.
Effects, Aroma & Flavour of Gala CBD
Gala CBD shows a citrus-forward flavour with sweet, woodland undertones reminiscent of fresh fruit. With a THC:CBD ratio of roughly 1:30 to 1:45, the effect leans toward a relaxing, clear-headed experience rather than a psychoactive one, making it suitable for daytime use as well.
