Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Galaxy
Galaxy is a cross of Afghani and Northern Lights. From it, Pyramid Seeds has bred an Indica-dominant hybrid with 70% Indica and 30% Sativa, whose special feature the breeder sees in a high yield combined with very fast flowering. The plants grow quickly and form dense, resinous flowers that sometimes become so heavy that the branches need support. For the cannabinoids, the data sheet gives 21.7% THC, 1.1% CBD and 0.4% CBN; elsewhere the manufacturer speaks of 21% THC and a low CBD content below 1%. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only sets in after the light cycle is switched to 12/12. In its conclusion, Pyramid Seeds speaks of a high-performing, classic Indica strain. If you are looking for Northern Lights genetics as an autoflowering strain from the same house, you will find Auto Northern Lights by Pyramid Seeds in our range.
Who Is Galaxy For?
Galaxy is a fast, yield-focused Indica hybrid. It suits:
- Indica fans with a preference for Afghani and Northern Lights genetics
- Indoor growers who would like to harvest after 50 to 55 days of flowering
- Yield-focused gardeners who support heavy branches in good time
- Lovers of fresh mint aromas with an earthy sweetness
- Consumers looking for a body-focused, calming effect in the evening
It is less suitable for the daytime, as the manufacturer describes the effect as calming and sleep-inducing. You can find more candidates under High Yield & Short Flowering.
Growing Galaxy: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, Galaxy flowers for 50 to 55 days according to Pyramid Seeds and grows 50 to 130 cm tall – so the final height depends heavily on how long you let it grow. The breeder gives the yield as 500 to 600 g/m² under a 600-watt lamp. The strain grows quickly and sets dense, heavy flowers; the manufacturer itself points out that the branches sometimes need to be supported. So fit stakes or a net early, before the flowers gain weight. With such compact buds, good air movement and controlled humidity pay off in the final weeks. You will find more on climate and support techniques in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors in Europe, Galaxy is harvested in September according to Pyramid Seeds, more precisely in the first to second week of September. The manufacturer states a yield of 0.5 to 1.5 kg per plant. The breeder does not give a height for outdoors. In the garden too: fast growth, but heavy flowers that may need support. A sunny, sheltered spot is the best starting point. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Galaxy
According to Pyramid Seeds, Galaxy brings a fresh mint aroma that combines with earthy and sweetish notes. The breeder describes the scent as fresh, sweetish and slightly earthy, and the flavour as minty with fruity and spicy undertones. The manufacturer speaks of a strikingly refreshing terpene profile but does not give a lab terpene profile. The effect is body-focused: a pleasantly strong high, physically relaxing, calming and sleep-inducing – according to the breeder, suited to switching off and chilling in the evening. With around 21% THC, Galaxy is strong, and the CBD content is low. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
