Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Geist OG Fast Flowering
According to Humboldt Seed Org., two years of development work went into this strain, which the breeder calls a four-way polyhybrid. The starting point is Geist OG, which was originally selected by Stinkyfarmz and, according to the manufacturer, has attracted attention above all among hash lovers. The breeder explains the great demand for OG with this uniquely “gassy” terpene profile. For the fast-flowering version, Geist OG was crossed with Uncirculated OG Auto; in this way Humboldt Seed Org. aims to offer the genetics in a faster and more versatile form. The manufacturer gives the genotype as 70% Indica, 20% Ruderalis and 10% Sativa. The seeds are feminised. Another fast-flowering strain from the breeder is Peanut Butter Breath Fast Flowering.
Who Is Geist OG Fast Flowering For?
Geist OG Fast Flowering brings OG character into a short flowering time. It suits:
- OG lovers looking for the “gassy” terpene profile
- Growers who plan for around 50 to 55 days of flowering
- Hash lovers, among whom Geist OG is particularly in demand according to the breeder
- Fans of Indica-dominant strains
- Gardeners who would like to grow Geist OG in a faster form
It is less suitable if you are looking for a stimulating, Sativa-leaning strain for the daytime – for that, it is worth taking a look at the Sativa strains.
Growing Geist OG Fast Flowering: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Despite the Ruderalis share of 20%, Geist OG Fast Flowering is photoperiod: flowering only begins after the light cycle is switched to 12/12. The flowering time is given as around 50 to 55 days – in keeping with the Fast Flowering suffix in the name. There is no reliable information on plant height and indoor yield in g/m²; we therefore do not state any figures. The strong “gassy” aroma makes a powerful carbon filter advisable. You will find the basics on climate, light and training in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
In its own words, Humboldt Seed Org. offers the strain in a faster and more versatile form; in the shop it is listed for growing both indoors and outdoors. The outdoor yield is given as up to around 650 g per plant. There is no reliable harvest date or plant height for outdoors. Choose a sunny, sheltered spot. You can find more strains for open ground under feminised outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Geist OG Fast Flowering
The focus is on the terpene profile, which Humboldt Seed Org. describes as uniquely “gassy” – meaning a sharp smell reminiscent of fuel. It is complemented by citrus notes and earthy tones. Named terpenes or a lab profile are not given. The effect is considered relaxing; the breeder itself does not describe it in more detail. The THC content is given as 18 to 22%, and there is no reliable CBD value. We do not have a THC value confirmed by the breeder; the figure is therefore to be understood as a guide. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
